Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Floorplan check - is my study too small? 6Oct 20, 2020 4:06 pm I agree, its plenty big enough, run cabinetry all along the wall, you’ll still have 1.8m behind you, that is very spacious. It’s still over 9sqm, so equivalent of a 3x3 room. It’s utilising the space better, It’s not about being bigger but using every sqm effectively. As long as its fitted out nicely you cant go wrong. We are building a 630sqm house and our study is similar size, because that is all we need. As for joining the two rooms together, I wouldn’t do it, most studies have books, papers etc, I would want my study to be away from where I would entertain. Thanks so much for the reply I feel much better after reading your comment!! A 630 m2 house is massive, I agree I prefer to keep the rooms separate it's just if we sink both the study and lounge due to the slope of the land I thought it may look better with a coffered ceiling all the way through. I may take 100mm off the sitting room wait and add that to the study and then I get a clear 2.48 m width Not sure if that works? I was told the issue is the headspace clearance requirement on step 4. My builder is proposing shifting the beam 310mm towards the kitchen...I'm… 2 2600 i would suggest nothing is unreasonable for PCI. we did all sorts, including checking the hot water, checking all the GPO's had power, testing that the showers were… 9 98689 2 6424 |
