Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Metricon (Pheonix 40) Clarendon(Boston 42) - anyone here 2Oct 18, 2020 7:39 am I much prefer the Boston layout. A better dining space. I think you’ll find the metricon living dining very tight. The Boston has better size bedrooms. The only change I’d make with the Boston is the laundry/linen layout, to allow an entrance not through the kitchen, and also you could add a mud room area between garage and laundry (where current linen is) Re: Metricon (Pheonix 40) Clarendon(Boston 42) - anyone here 4May 19, 2021 1:40 pm Xfactor We are building the Phoenix Verve, construction to start in a week or 2 after signing up last May. Our final cost sits at about $730k. What did you think of the Vantage 40 or the Hampshire 40? Did you ask how much it was to render the two pillars? thnx Re: Metricon (Pheonix 40) Clarendon(Boston 42) - anyone here 13May 25, 2021 10:00 am No, we didn’t want the pillars rendered as the whole house is being rendered, originally wanted stone but quote was a ridiculous $32k for those 2 front pillars. The reclaimed brick came in under 3k for the pillars so went with that. They are actually pretty cheap for rendering, we are getting whole house acrylic render for 26k, so wouldn’t imagine two robot pillars would be that much the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6726 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
