Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Cost of excavation and removal of dirt in Sydney Boxhill 2Oct 12, 2020 1:19 am Excavation - $80-120 per hour (depending on excavator) + float, you would need the machine for a couple of days. 12 ton bogie truck to dispose - approx. $300-400 per truck (depending on where they dispose to) 140 cu m is roughly 230-250 tons, i.e. 20 trucks. Plus you would need also to pay for the soil test to prove that your soil is clean. My rough estimate is in vicinity of $12K-15K all in. $10K if you get lucky. Your area, BTW. $200 per tonne is outrageous. Re: Cost of excavation and removal of dirt in Sydney Boxhill 6Oct 14, 2020 12:38 pm Yes it's pretty steep which is why a lot of guys don't mind trucking it a fair distance to tip it. Considering we have about 400+ tonnes to excavate and remove, the cheaper the better. Thanks for the link too.
