Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 09, 2020 6:14 am New to the home building experience and to this forum. Hoping to tap into the brains trust on this forum to make the journey less scary and more informed. Thanks in advance for all the assistance. Looking to finalise on a KDR with Burbank Homes for the Edgerton 282. No display homes available so having to look at their other display homes and extrapolate. Any experiences (good/bad) with Burbank Homes and the model of home? Burbank are promoting a "limited time" offer of the Burbank Plus upgrade package. However reading through the package brochure I'm unclear what the upgrades are - there is a term "... are included with all Burbank homes" that comes up often so unclear if these items are included regardless (but in the package to make it more attractive) or part of the package. I found this link (https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=1034752#p1034752) in one of the other posts so will be setting aside some time to read through it. Re: Burbank Homes Edgerton 282 Build 2Jan 16, 2021 10:14 am Continuing to progress with Burbank Homes on the Edgerton 282. We worked with the sales consultant (a practical, no-nonsense, non-salesy chap IMO) to include the Burbank Plus upgrade package and quite a few of the options that the builder provides (those that made sense to us anyway). Some small modifications to extend the length of the house (so we could have better size bedrooms), squish the house slightly to fit on our block with the council mandated set backs plus moving a couple of doors and windows. After the end of year break caught up with consultant on the updated (properly drafted!) drawings and importantly revised estimates since soil & site survey has been completed. Costs have gone up due to increased cut and fill - due to slope of land . Re: Burbank Homes Edgerton 282 Build 3Mar 04, 2021 6:46 pm hi just wondering what type of flooring you chose? Re: Burbank Homes Edgerton 282 Build 4Mar 21, 2021 2:44 pm Unfortunately haven't been active on the forum while we were going back and forth on design changes and fitting that within a hectic work schedule. We haven't come to the Colour Room stage yet so haven't picked the exact flooring. We have decided to cover the entire house (save wet areas) with the builder supplied Vinyl Plank Timber look Category 1 flooring. Once we get to the Colour Room I'll be able to get back to you with the actual selection. If you don't mind me asking, how are you going and any tips to share? Thanks Hi All, Recently we have signed a contract with Burbank and we are not aware that they have just DORSET, SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, KENT, PILBARA and REDGUM bricks from PGH are… 0 3168 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17628 3 48409 |
