Re: KDR - Clarendon Boston 34 Sydney 8Jun 19, 2021 9:40 am hi wekin, thanks for your post . we are researching clarendon homes and looking at stamford and boston choosing between these 2. we went to display homes and the sale consultant indicated about 450k and 10% off (current promotion ) for the house we only really want grandalfresco and butley pantry . these add about 26k and 6k. then site cost for about 70-80k. all up is about 510-520k wondering if you can thoughts on this? does it sound realistic? referring to the cost your have noted, 508k ( does it refer to house design cost include upgrades and site cost?) 74k color studio- what is this referring to ? you have chosen to upgrade bricks $11500. were standard bricks from clarendon not suited you preference? thanks Re: KDR - Clarendon Boston 34 Sydney 9Jun 19, 2021 3:16 pm anthony C hi wekin, thanks for your post . we are researching clarendon homes and looking at stamford and boston choosing between these 2. we went to display homes and the sale consultant indicated about 450k and 10% off (current promotion ) for the house we only really want grandalfresco and butley pantry . these add about 26k and 6k. then site cost for about 70-80k. all up is about 510-520k wondering if you can thoughts on this? does it sound realistic? referring to the cost your have noted, 508k ( does it refer to house design cost include upgrades and site cost?) 74k color studio- what is this referring to ? you have chosen to upgrade bricks $11500. were standard bricks from clarendon not suited you preference? thanks Hey Anthony, I can’t remember the design of Stamford but Boston has a very good design that suit our land size and lifestyle the most after almost every home in Homeworld! The grand alfresco seems reasonable to me and I think our butler panty is about 5k. Yea, the 508k include site costs and provision allowance, we did get back 7k provision back that didn’t use. Base price was a bit lower than now, at the time we had 30k off promotion. So 10% off is definitely better! $74k color appointment included those major upgrades I have listed. Basically, any upgrades you want to make your home fancier, range from small thing like tape ware to staircase (I till think that cost a fortune!). Clarendon has two brick suppliers and I have gone through them all, visited some home that used the particular brick and read the reviews. We really like the black brick, but because it’s painted, the builder range inclusion one chipped very easily. We actually built a granny flat with the cheaper one and god I’m so glad we didn’t use it for the front house! It all comes down of what color you want to pick. Hope it helps you. Our build is completed, but waiting for landscape before moving in. We are very happy with quality of the house so far. Re: KDR - Clarendon Boston 34 Sydney 11Oct 28, 2021 11:01 pm Hi Wekin, Thanks for providing the list of upgrades, this is really helpful. I'm also planning on building the Boston 34 + Rumpus + Alfresco. Do you have any pictures of the finished house you are willing to share (internal and external)? I'm also curious about your experience with Clarendon's Lifestyle Studio. I've heard the selections can be quite limited even with the upgrades - did you find this to be true? It’ll be probably better to check on Clarendon website Boston 34 for their visual tour so you have better idea what it looks like (but we got rid of the wall between Rumpus and Family), we have the exact design as the display home at Marsden Park NSW if you have a chance to visit. In regards to selections, for us it’s fine since we did the flooring after handover. And we went with black & white design so everything was simple. The only thing I regret the most is the splashback, we just pick the builder selection at the time when we had the tile appointment on zoom. I’d want a big tile without grout instead of small tile. We did start before the construction CDC approved due to collapsed of partial of the building. You obtain a different CDC for demolition.
