Last week, I did an inspection by myself after they finished the frame stage, and I found these defects, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I asked my SS about these on the site, and he said they are not load-bearing, so they're not going to be any problems in the future. After I went home, my wife and I are both worried about these defects, and we sent our SS an email to ask if they could rectify them, but we haven't got any replies yet, so I feel he is reluctant to fix them. I understand that the work doesn't have to be perfect, but are these defects acceptable? I wonder if I should insist on them rectifying these. Also, to avoid more defects like these in the later stages, would it be helpful to get a private inspector?
