Isnt the portico/balustrade ticking that box? If you do anything more, I think its going to detract rather than add interest...
Requires a 3rd material. Currently only render and cladding
As per what alymai has said, but I would do the brickwork now and if you didn't like the effect I'd wait a couple of years and then render over it.

I definitely don't want to do anything..... The display home has the painted timber rafters as a feature but i doubt they will accept.
