Will metricon do this?

Hi i've been looking at a few metricon designs and frustratingly have found four designs that I like, none of them are available in NSW however freely available in Queensland and Victoria. The actual designs are available in NSW but the floor plan variation i want is not.

These home designs are actually made in Sydney however the floor plan variation is not which I find ridiculous.

For example:

Bayville 49a available in QLD and VIC but not NSW, every other bayville variation available in NSW just not that one!

Vantage 48. not available in NSW only vantage 46 I think, again, freely available in QLD and VIC.

There are a couple of other designs also that have the same issue.

Has anyone had any experience or success in using a plan outside of the residing state and having metricon build to that?

I'm going to head down there during the week but would like to know if this is even a possibility, very frustrating!

We liked the Riviera design (particularly the facade), but we live in Vic, the display house is in Queensland, and the openness (lots of voids) of the design suits Queensland weather much better anyway. Would love to use the facade on a Doulton, but that's not one of the options available!

But certainly ask, as all the required plans (layouts, framing, trusses, etc) are in their system, so (theoretically) they should be able to build any design anywhere? Unless they are getting specific suppliers for the building stages, they should be able to help.

When I spoke to Metricon here in Victoria they said they couldn't access the designs from another state. Having said that given the Vantage 46 is available in NSW I can't see why you couldn't customise that to be something like a Vantage 48 as Metricon do seem flexible on floorplan changes.

The same flexibility doesn't apply to facades. I liked the flat roofed facades from several Signature designs but Metricon no longer offers mix and match between facades and house designs. ie you can only choose from the default facades for a given house design.

Yes I have a West facing yard and the Eden Brae Grange 50 has the large void facing west (would kill me!)

Hence why I like the Metricon Waterford 51 and Vantage 48 - they are for me either north or south facing voids...

Long story short, the consultant today has said they should be fine to do it which is good news, my facade would be the same as per the display so shouldnt be an issue hopefully.

Now to see what the estimate is going to be ......

We are building Vantage 48 with Metricon, which was "imported" to Sydney area. My wife and I really like the floor plan of V48, and the sales team made it available to us.

I think you can flip any home design left-to-right as a whole if that would make sense, but you could end up with a bunch of bedrooms facing west upstairs...
