Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 18, 2020 9:53 pm Hi all! I am wondering if anyone could help me interpret my soil test? I have been provided 16k(Fairhaven) , 25k (Henley) for fixed site cost. My preferred builder is quoting me 35k site costs and they are not able to fix without doing soil test. I am trying to understand why a builder is asking 35k for my site cost. They say it's because I may need retaining wall but I am sure when I looked at my land, there's already a retaining wall on the area adjacent to the secondary street (i have a corner block) so I am just trying to understand why this builder is asking for 35k Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ For those who may be interested to help, here's a link to my soil test https://m365x497266-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/admin_m365x497266_onmicrosoft_com/EpGCCuXQoc9KrmIeF3XYPhUB27ycY8B7TVeja0aLObkWKw?e=TYbrsO thank you so much for all the help!! The data/costs puts you in a better position to negotiate fairly, Of course if the builder's not interested, take your plans and data and find another Help!
