Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 22, 2020 7:40 pm Hi, We are building new home & It is in lock up stage. We want to do small change (add internal door for walk in pantry) & Our builder has quoted $1275 to adopt this change. While we have got quote from our own handyman who has quoted for $400. I asked builder if they can allow my handyman on building site to finish this work. Builder is saying that QBCC will NOT allow & QBCC will give them penalty & demerit points on license. I am checking below link & this page has some different details. https://qualifyme.edu.au/qm-blog/qbcc-w ... ce-in-qld/ As per above link "a handyman – as long as the value is no more than $3,300, isn’t electrical or plumbing work and doesn’t require an occupational licence." Anyone can help what is the rule? Ask for the contamination report which I doubt they have. If it's part of a normal subdivision it would have had a contamination report done… 9 5634 |
