I remember way back at the start we got our slab down before you, well we're still miles off.... Nothing has happened with our build for at least 2 months Hi Kevin! I hope you see some progress soon with your build...2 months without action is a long time! I had a look at your thread but no updates? Thanks Ourmansion, MalSannie and jelbell55! We want to see more action too lol.....The paving has been a great improvement as we no longer have to tread on sand in those areas!! IssyandOzzy Hey hootie! Congratulations on moving in! So lucky you! I love all the wooden finishes, everything just goes so well together! I was just wondering if you can pass me details of bricks and brickies so I can have an estimate.. We want to extend our paving as well Thanks Issy, I have pm'd you Today the landscapers finished the paving (WOOHOO!) and cleared some sand from the soon to be firepit and used it to start the surface prep for the artificial turf. Not much action as they finished and left at lunch time. We have also chosen the type of artificial turf we want and it should be confirmed by the end of the week: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Building in Aveley - Post-handover - Landscaping begins! 967Oct 29, 2015 12:46 am Looking awesome hoot can't wait! Looks like we will have some action with the firepit construction tomorrow. Met with the tradie today and due to the limestone and granite floating steps being delayed a day, they could not start today. This arvo we had a surprise on the verge. The stone was delivered! Thanks nikkis2000! I can just picture that in my mind...holding a glass of wine, sitting in the firepit chillaxin!.... In fact, the firepit is starting to evolve!!! Lots of digging for the landscapers today and also laying of the limestone blocks. Came back to see the shape of the firepit starting to from...very exciting! View from Alfresco. The area from the retaining wall to the side fence will be paved with the same pavers we've used extensively to provide a side parking area and space for perhaps a small shed: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View from verandah outside master bedroom. Opening the sliding doors of the master bedroom would lead us straight to the steps of the firepit: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Artificial turf is scheduled for the coming Tuesday, so there will be a dramatic change to our now still sandy backyard.
