Woohoo!! I was expecting a problem or two due to the many building restrictions they have in our estate, but it all seems good!! Unfortunately, M is now on holidays and our pre-construction co-ordinator won't be back until 20/1/14, so nothing will be happenning for the next month. We send her an email and will have an answer very quickly, if it isn't her department, she will get answers and follow up very quickly. I'm not sure who you are dealing but perhaps, if you need help, you could seek assistance from Angela? She is excellent. Thanks...everything has turned to crap and worse still we have to wait a month now to find out if it can be resolved. Gee..... building issues?? Hope its nothing too seriously bad!!! I also wish M weren't on holidays.... just knowing that nothing can move forward because of month-long holidays..... frustrating!!! I decided to cheer us up and created a Photo bucket account with some of our choices. I'm building the Villina Elite with Jazz 2 Facade as seen at Kellyville Display. My plans have just been approved by DA a week ago and now going to council. I'm hoping we get our first slab in on February. Just colour selection and electrical left!!!!!! Anyone know how much M charges for per downlights? I'm looking specifically for led downlights. Depending on the cost, I may decide to install batten in place of where I want the downlights and get sparky later to change them over as this seem to be the trend from what I'm seeing on the forums. Any good, reliable and cost effective brands? (besides Brightgreen and Wattsaver) Hi, and welcome to the forum thread. Looks like a good selection there. Lucky you could choose 2.7 for both levels! It does work out somewhat the same price for LED downlights, but doing them later means you can save up for it. We took this option too. We spent some time also looking for light fittings/pendants and got them installed all at the same time. We did not had to rush decision for it. Good luck with your build, and keep us all updated. There probably a height restriction with council but M has not mentioned anything when we requested 2.7m for both our floors. Hopefully nothing goes wrong! I have a feeling electrical is going to be very expensive. lol Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 886Dec 23, 2013 5:14 pm Pikey Yes Gilly but feeling a bit better today...It is crap atm but will come up smelling like roses in the end. And it WILL look fantastic when the house is done!!! Probably not much you can do to resolve any issues until M are back from holidays.... enjoy Christmas and try to forget any hassles and other crap.... and this is always a great place to vent when you need to !!! I hope it all goes really well for you too. We loved the Overture probably should have built it instead but oh well we will have lots of backyard which is great. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 893Dec 28, 2013 1:19 pm Hey Pikey, hope you are enjoying your grand baby! I'm wondering if anyone has done their electrical appointment recently? Trying to work out how much we are up for roughly. If anyone has prices they for extra light switches, extra circuits, power points, down lights (or how much to have them put yours in)... Anything like that, I would love to hear from you. Even if they are rough prices.. Thanks!! Building the Villina Grande Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 894Dec 28, 2013 1:44 pm Hi Dream Home we did our electrical back in July / August you get a sheet from YHC with what it costs for most of your things such as extra power points and lights. For the following these were our prices: Extra light circuit & safety switch $240 Junction box for future light $60 3 way switch $90 dimmer switch (up to 6 lights) $90 double power points $65 weatherproof power points (for outside) $115 double power point to my island bench $160 hope this helps. We chose to do do stuff afterwards when we have the $$ and the time. The stuff we are getting M to do is stuff that is trickier and more expensive once house is completed.
