Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8601Nov 19, 2015 9:12 am Mgardz just a heads up ... We needed our laundry steps even for the interim OC (considered a safety issue) .... You can get temporary steps from bunnings but they need to be drilled into the bricks. Our CC said ours should be ok https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8604Nov 19, 2015 10:33 am Gibson Hey Buildersbob, it's looking good. I drive past your house every day cursing you for having completed your build JamisonMac, good luck with the new SS, here's hoping everything is fixed soon Bleaky I like your style. We are still stuck in pre-construction, our DA is supposedly due for final approval today, 11 weeks after submission, but I'm not holding my breath. At this point we are wondering if we are going to make any progress this side of Christmas. Thanks Gibson, if it helps you then you can continue to curse me good luck with the DA and house hunting. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8605Nov 19, 2015 10:35 am cassynunn - Congrats!! Gibson - Our CDC took around 100 days Hopefully not too much longer for you. MGardz - How are you doin'? Yes, it's a good thing that shutdown is late but it's starting to be a bad thing for us with the dramas of our upstairs flooring. Patience is a virtue. Patience is a virtue. Patience is a virtue. katieogi1 - Not that I am aware of. I think the admin/head office guys are off as well as supervisors. Either the admin or SS organises the tradies therefore no one else left to get them on site to do work. Sales have a shorter break. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8606Nov 19, 2015 10:37 am Damn! I was told by the pre construction department that sometimes tradies will commence back earlier depending on what stage your home is up to. Perhaps this is not the case! So tired of waiting. We were supposed to be in before christmas and they have only just fenced our lot! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8607Nov 19, 2015 10:38 am katieogi1 Does anyone know if masterton do any work throughout the shut down? I.e. do tradies continue work at all? I am aware that the site supervisors are off. I guess it depends on what stage you are at. They poured our slab just before Christmas then about mid January they dug all the trenches for our pipes and our stormwater pit. I wouldn't count on it though. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8609Nov 19, 2015 10:50 am It took about 10 weeks from peg out to pouring the slab. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8610Nov 19, 2015 10:55 am Ok cool thanks heaps 😊 has your build finished yet? I am really trying to formulate a realistic time frame for our build. We're building the cello 2- house and land package in willowdale. Theyve just commenced construction now. Am i being unrealistic to think april? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8611Nov 19, 2015 11:07 am S-VE It is unbelievable how slow M does everything. 6 months pre construction is ridiculous. We are also regretting not going with another builder and our house hasn't even started. You should consider yourself lucky S-VE, how would you like 10 months pre-construction? 2014 30/05 $3900 25/08 Contracts 02/10 DA submitted 2015 17/02 DA approved 02/04 Colors 10/04 Demo 09/07 Construction start 27/07 Fill 15/08 Slab 21/09 Frame 2016 08/01 Bricks Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8613Nov 19, 2015 11:13 am katieogi1 Ok cool thanks heaps 😊 has your build finished yet? Am i being unrealistic to think april? Our slab was poured on 14th Dec and PCI was 30 June but it was far from finished!! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8614Nov 19, 2015 11:15 am Oh my goodness!!!! Why did it take so long?! Did you build a bigger house? Ours is 23 squres. There is a house on our st that was literally built in 3.5 months. First on the st completed! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8615Nov 19, 2015 11:20 am Can I please have your opinions I Have The Independent Builders Report , After The PCI drama my CC said to email the report when I receive it. Neighbours have their letters which expire 26th November so hopefully no problems there. Site inspection is next Wednesday. I don't know exactly how the council process works but for others before me,'if all is ok, how long was it for official approval? http://preludehome.tumblr.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8620Nov 19, 2015 12:26 pm Marina12 - I'd send it now. No reason to hold onto it and every reason to send it. Oh is your hubby not well Sorry to hear that. Hopefully things will improve with your hubby and house. Keep the positive thoughts going. Katie - Really depends on your SS and availability of tradies. Good luck! Fisher75 - Drink please! I'll have the whole bottle. Hubby is interstate and won't be back til Sunday so parrrrrrty time.
