Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 848Dec 04, 2012 8:31 pm So, today we found out that we have no recycle water meter... Then I told Wsdm to install it & apparently they have to chase up the Syd Water. Another thing is we should do our retaining wall earlier, because the new neighbour cut their site & pushed the dirt to our land. So it made Wsdm cut looks deeper than it should be... Lucky I took a lot of photos & video to prove my original natural ground line. And the good thing, the new neighbour seems responsible & assured me not to worry. Their builder is also nice & did remove the dirt away. Now I have to find a retaining wall guy asap otherwise they can't do their external plumbing... Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 849Dec 05, 2012 7:28 am Oh no, no meter, is this from the water tank? Or is your recycled water from somewhere else? Great to hear your new neighbour is nice, makes organising fences and the like a lot easier We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Our blog - http://ourwisdommajestic40.blogspot.com.au/ Our H1 thread - viewtopic.php?t=54156 Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 850Dec 05, 2012 8:51 am Onewheel, No just normal recycle water. We have underground tank & recycle water as well, which is ridiculous...it's a requirement for my estate. The recycle water meter should come from Syd watertanks. I guess my SS forgot to organise it.. Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 851Dec 05, 2012 3:45 pm Willcres, we also dont have our recycled water meter, Sydney water organise it, not the builder normally. We have just been waiting for Sydney water to install, they will do it eventually! The house across Lot 13 said it's good.., cause we don't need to pay the recycle water.. Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 854Dec 10, 2012 1:00 pm Hi Willcres, sorry to bother you but I have a question regarding your downlights installation. Did you have to do some patch up or re-paint you ceilling when the downlights was installed? I would of thought since the downlight rings are wider than the batten fitting then the hole should be covered, hidden. Cheers Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 855Dec 10, 2012 7:55 pm avalanche Hi Willcres, sorry to bother you but I have a question regarding your downlights installation. I would of thought since the downlight rings are wider than the batten fitting then the hole should be covered, hidden. Cheers Avalanche, Yes, we have to do patch up but only a few. 95% downlights are ok because the ring cover the small holes. But we haven't painted them. What house are you building? Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 856Dec 10, 2012 8:13 pm Thank you for the reply, I am building the serenity 28 in oran park, currently at the colour stage and landscaping for developer approval. I followed your blog and your house looks very nice. I am thinking of doing the same about the downlights, changing from batten do D/L after handover. Cheers Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 857Dec 10, 2012 9:48 pm Hi avalanche, Thanks for following my blog. I haven't updated it since I moved in... Sorry. But thanks for the nice comment. We just got our shutter & very happy with it. It's just changed the whole look from outside & inside, house feels more complete now. Can't wait for my landscaping & fences... Good luck for your build! Just pm me if you want to ask any questions. Cheers! Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 858Dec 11, 2012 9:10 am Your house should look even nicer now with the shutters Have you got quotes for your landscaping yet? I hope they wont be charging you an arm and leg for that, i heard retainning wall are very very costy nowadays Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 859Dec 11, 2012 1:02 pm Thank you avalance! Yes, we love the shutters, it completes the house. We have 2 landscaping quotes so far, they are not bad and still within what we expected. We haven't decided which one to use, still waiting 1 more quote. Cheers. Re: Journey of Building a Wisdom home (Boston 50.7sq) 860Dec 11, 2012 1:14 pm Just an update about our meter for recycle water, today the plumber should come and inspect it, but none showed up... Very upset because WH has booked it today and I have been waiting like 6 hours at home. Secondly, we have underground water tank that don't work, the 2 taps water don't work at all. We didn't realize it before, since we don't go out often and quite muddy and dusty outside with all these building surrounding us. So I have contacted WH head office many many times, emails and phones since few weeks ago, but still they don't intend to fix this. So I assume there's something not right here with their plumbing system for our tank. We have no control box or control pump for the underground tank. I have asked neighbours around and they have a control box or a control pump to retract the water from the tank. So I have reported this to Syd Water today hoping they can help me directing this complaint since WH has no intention to fix it. Anyone else know whom should I contact to regarding this case? Thanks.
