Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You can't have sidelights with a pivot door on the Waterfall. Pivot doors are bigger than standard doors therefore using the whole entry width on the Waterfall. Did that price include frosted glass or clear as I know frosted is extra? Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 843Jan 22, 2011 9:44 pm Thats good to know. I actually just assumed frosted would be more expensive because they charge extra to frost a normal window in the house. Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 844Jan 22, 2011 9:56 pm Hi Infocus , C charged me $95 for fosted toilet windows . I m sure they've made enough money from $1970 but just keep an eye on the word "stained " as the pivot door should be stained . Mine didn't inclide but I got them to insert it later . Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 845Jan 22, 2011 9:59 pm Thanks for the heads up about the staining. I'll have to keep my eye out for that. Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 846Jan 24, 2011 2:12 pm Hi All Just have a question for you all, has anyone decided to get timber flooring upstairs and can recommend they are going with ? and roughly how much they were quoted. Our house has the bricks done and they are just finishing the roof over the garage and alfresco areas. Thanks Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 847Jan 24, 2011 2:42 pm bladellium Hi All Just have a question for you all, has anyone decided to get timber flooring upstairs and can recommend they are going with ? and roughly how much they were quoted. Our house has the bricks done and they are just finishing the roof over the garage and alfresco areas. Thanks Hi Bladellium We decided to go with 14mm Bamboo flooring (does that count as Timber), all downstairs common areas/passages and up to the rumpus room. Its not been laid yet, so can't tell you too much more. The price is comparable to a decent carpet, PM me if you want any more info. The price all inclusive was $157000, and hopefully it will be complete on HO. Got two other quotes, one from Harvey Norman and one from Carpet Court and Accent carpets were cheaper, but not by much. Has anybody else got there flooring through Accent carpets? would like to get some feed back on quality/workmanship etc etc. gav2233 Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 850Jan 25, 2011 9:29 pm GFdo Hi John , Has your Pantry cupboards and Vanities installed ? For the first time ever I ve seen 3 diff tradies working together hand in hand . Two weeks is nothing and that can change quick smart, I was running Neck and Neck with Mellarnie for quite a while, then she streaks ahead, all depends on the tradies availability. I just spent the morning doing a retaining wall - heavy blocks and humid.. wheres the beers - Happy Australia day!!! The landscaping plan shows a eucalypt and 2 paperbarks, not really in line with a formal garden theme I had in mind thanks Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 857Jan 29, 2011 8:43 pm hi GFdo our handover most likely will be end of feb the monday after this coming one, we are going to have a walk thru. 2 week later (if there is no drama) will be hand over time mp Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 858Jan 29, 2011 10:07 pm GFdo Hi John and Meatpie , When is your hand over ? How many days do you think it's gonna take to actually move in ? GFdo SS seems to think the walk through maybe end of next week and HO is a week later, so Mid feb (ish). we will need a week to put in bamboo flooring and carpet and possibly another to do driveways... We could move in around the 21st feb, and do the driveways while in. All dates are provisional at the moment, we still have a bit to do.. And are any of you having trouble getting an interim certificate from them? They are telling us we need our landscaping done before they will issue the certificate, so frustrating becuase the house is finished and ready for handover but the bank won't make the final payment until we get an interim certificate! For all those just signing up I suggest you find your own certifier that is willing to issue interim certificates! Mel Re: Building the Waterfall by Clarendon in Sydney 860Jan 30, 2011 5:38 pm hi mel who is your PCA (as the company), i called my PCA and also re-read the letter send out to us last year before the construction commence. To sum up, i ask him how can i get an interim cert? ie what criteria i must fulfilled. he told me that the house must be safe to live in. i asked him again if installing flooring is a prerequisite to get the interim cert (IC), he told me there is no law in australia that said you must have flooring in order to be able to live in the house. he say the main concern is safety. One thing i need to mention is that the letter that i received did mention that whether you get the IC or not is governed by the DA conditions. I re-read mine before talking him and i could not find anything that prevent me from getting one. So i did tell him, i read the DA conditions and cant find anything to say i cant have an IC. He then asked who i am building with? i say clarendon. He asked again if steps are in place? i say yes steps are in place but not the tiles. So according to what i have advised him, he told me there is no reason why an IC cannot be issued. This will be issued BEFORE the house handover. so a few days before the handover, he will come and check the house and if it is safe to live, he will issue the IC and give us the full cert once the landscape, driveway etc is done. i think the best thing is to run over your DA conditions. and perhaps there is something that they think is not safe perhaps that stopping them to issue an IC? i know my chance is pretty high to get as i have seen my neighbours moving in before the landscape and driveway is done. i dont know if changing a PCA will make any different or not as i think they are pretty standard and governed by local council ruling (your council might say no IC is allowed to be given perhaps?) hope this help mel It is Genneral stairs, but they won't deal with anyone off the street. They will only work with clients of project home builders. I tried to but some of these exact… 3 8772 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
