Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 82Jul 06, 2015 8:26 am jomesh007 We r going for studio m this month. Any advice is much appreciated. Add everything you would like at studio m, it's easier to add everything at the appointment and then remove items to meet the budget if necessary. If your building a high set give yourself a decent electrical allowance, if your building a low set I would get m to do the minimum and then get the electrician who is contracted to your house to do what you really want. Far cheaper. Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 86Jul 11, 2015 8:45 pm I have a question for those of you that have already completed the electrical appointment. With the prices for power points ie $55 for double powerpoints is that just for installation or does it include the PowerPoint also? If not what are the costs for Clipsal Saturn powerpoints verses standard ones? Not entirely sure on clipsal. I think it may be worthwhile emailing your CSC and asking for the Vaccarro group's consultant's contact details - they may be able to advise. Additionally, there is a pricing list you can get from Studio M (I don't think it included Clipsal). We have been there so many times the sales assistants recognises us already and says "here to look at the glendale again?". Lol. Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 92Jul 13, 2015 10:48 pm Hahaha, we should meet up at Edmonson park and converse on the design and options for the display home build thread - viewtopic.php?t=78328 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 94Jul 13, 2015 10:56 pm Orpheus- Good idea! iceybluey- Yes so very true. Last time we went it was to measure the stacker doors and island bench top. Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78449 Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 95Jul 14, 2015 7:24 am I wish there was a Hudson display home to stalk. It would have been fantastic to get a feel for the space during design stage. Building a design without having seen what the house looked like in real life was such a leap of faith. Thank goodness it's come up a treat Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 96Jul 14, 2015 8:45 pm Having the laguna on display was one of the main points in our decision, being able to look at a room in real life makes some things easier the problem is the drive all the way out there. Given I had organised a day off work to get it all sorted not very productive to have to do it in the afternoon. Guess I will be taking it home with me instead. How long does the tender meeting normally take? But you're not expected to accept the tender on the spot so I wouldn't stress too much about being switched on for the meeting. Tender presenter will go through the prelim contract line by line so you have a chance to ask all the questions you have about each item. From memory I think our appointment took roughly 2 hours. It just depends on how many questions and changes you raise. Good luck Re: Metricon Laguna 40 Kingston Sydney 100Jul 21, 2015 9:20 pm Ok so we actually got the drawings today but the estimate will only be ready tomorrow. So many changes we have already lucky we got them today because my wife would go nuts when she saw it in front of them. Luckily I have been able to calm her down a bit. Quick question the numbers next to windows is the size but what is the measurement, it's not cms or mms so what is it?
