Yes it's ridiculous ... Doors missing and towel rails in the toilet (or other such awkward spots). We had put in quite a few extra doors: pantry, ensuite, WIR and double cavity glass sliders at end of hall. Besides loosing privacy, trying to keep 'smells' and steam out of your clothes etc, doors also help manage heating/cooling issues. They kinda seem essential to me. Easy to not notice they are missing when they are though

I never thought about going two story . I can imagine my kids going up and down those stairs lol . I have a issue of them thinking the hallway is a race track lol . Hmm your pantry door maybe a problem . I recon you should ask your builder if they can do something . Crying seems to work hehe . My little one has always been into everything and started walking at 10 mon . At 9 mon she got in my pantry at our old house and broke a sause bottle slipped and ended up with 11 stitches on the side of her face . I think that builders should include doors on them . But I'm sure you will work something out .
Omg shopping with 5 kids . I can't even shop with one lol . But she makes up for the other 5 . School holidays here in Perth haven't gone for a big shop for 4 weeks lol.

It seems like a lot of houses are designed with only aesthetics in mind but no practical thought has gone into how people actually live in them. No doors on ensuites are a pain in the bum when small children are involved as all they want to do is stand at the shower screen with there faces pressed against the glass (well my tribe do) wir robes opposite open ensuites with fixed windows can create mould and I agree about the "smells" thing. I have a school mum friend who's husband is a plasterer, I have spoken to him and he said its a easy fix to add a pantry door phew. I might get him to look at adding a cavity slider to the ensuite also. I completely missed the fact they are not in our build

We worked around a plan . Originally we had 2 alfrescos one were the living room is and one were the games room is . So we toke both out made the living area bigger and the games room bigger . And just moved the 3 bathroom out and put two more bedrooms in . The hallway got wider my partner used to be a removal ist I I think he thought we were going to move furniture in and out of the house on a daily thing lol . So many people told me hallways a a waste .but it works for us being so long a skinny one would look weird . But then my little hallway to my bedroom got wider and I lost a lot of space in my wir . Kinda never thought about the width of the house . The theatre also had to go back too because of this . Our block is 935 Sqm . We were looking at a 2000sqm block that was going for $325 . But they didn't won't to wait . I go past there all the time looking at the house that is built on there lol . My house would of looked better lol .
Was pretty scary when she cut her face red sauce was everywhere .one of my other girls thought it was all blood . Bless her .
With so many kids our lives are pretty full on if it's not one kid it's another . ( and my partner wonts one more ) I don't think I can do it .
I hate shopping as a family I kinda get the feeling people are looking at me thinking I'm crazy . My sister has 5 one day she was out with just one . Someone asked her if that was the only child she had .she said yes couldn't be bothered getting into the whole do you not have any TV thing lol

Yay a new thread Tribe! Hope you are still on track for site start in the next week or so? Love love love your colour choices especially the Oak timber floor. I can't wait to follow your build. Exciting times ahead

We received a really kind email from our csc yesterday, our ss had been to our lot and did a check over he also added a sign, he took a pic and sent it to our csc who attached it to an email saying ta da look what you have . Needless to say I was thrilled we got a sign, who knew one bit of plastic could be so exciting .

We also got another gift on our lot, can't say I'm thrilled with this one though, a giant concrete (chunk, ball, lump, not sure what to call it) it's right in the middle of our lot, the developer is removing it once our site start date is set but gee some people are a bit to generous.

For scale our 6 and a half year old son standing on the whopper!!

Also an update from our csc and we will have a confirmed site start date on Monday for the coming week and a half hooray. We also received our fixed build time contract today, 24 weeks
