Yup, and we'll definitely be going down there to have a beer to celebrate once it's been poured, or some bubbly :z:

Then we'll probably collect all the dog poo into a bucket and kindly deposit it over the fence where it belongs. Mwahahaha.

Knock on the door and when they answer, tip it out and say I believe this belongs to you. Sure they will think twice next time.
I once followed a woman early one morning as her dog always left a parcel near our front door, returned the goodies to her and she never walked pass my house again ::angry::

It does look awesome. I really love that your living room is at the front. Gives you that whole of yard sort of use. Can't wait to see slab pics.

Oh I love this one Twiggens. There's something about that layout lol. SW, yours is quite similar too. It's so nice to see all the photos and stories and to be able to follow each others journey :x]

Our slab is hopefully going down in mid February as well. Fingers crossed! We have had next door's builder dumping sand and crap on our block, so annoying, they were supposed to remove the last lot of sand they dumped (it was like a huge pyramid) and I'm sure they just spread it around the block. Not impressed.

I'm quite glad the other half convinced me to go back to the original design of the display with the bar, makes the room a bit more versatile.

Very fun following everyone's build stories, plus I'm glad there's so many nice people building near us!

*Edit* - Palladian - I called the builders on either side of me to whinge about the rubbish, and they have so far cleaned most of it up... There's just one big chunk of concrete left which would weigh a few hundred kilos so I'm guessing a bobcat is required. If it's not gone by Wednesday arvo when I drive past I will be calling them again!!

I'm quite glad the other half convinced me to go back to the original design of the display with the bar, makes the room a bit more versatile.

Very fun following everyone's build stories, plus I'm glad there's so many nice people building near us!

That's good to hear about the rubbish removal. I think the bar will be awesome when you have people in the alfresco too cos they have easy access to a drink without having to disturb the kitchen. It's going to be wonderful.

I never actually thought of it that way, good point! I was too busy thinking along the lines of visibility into the room if we need to keep an eye on future children lol.

Oh and by the way SW - good luck with your prestart! I'm sure it will be great fun

I have couple of different choices for items we wanted to change/upgrade...
Our pre-start lady knew that it will be "serious and long discussion" when she saw my list ::hyst::

Also consider pricing multiple alternatives. We had 3 options for flooring costed, different options for draws in the bathroom instead of cupboards etc. then you can see what is the best option.

Whoah 30 pages, great effort AGF!
We had a mental list but as we were pretty much going for everything identical to the display we didn't have to think too hard.
Plus we didn't have to suffer the stress of the electrical appointment, so glad we don't have to pay the epic price mark-up for everything electrical!
The only thing we changed was to pay extra for ceiling height tiling in the shower sections and waist height on the walls, wasn't too bad in the end. We didn't bother upgrading taps and stuff either (although we don't love the ones we've got - caroma ingressi) as it's easy enough to change them afterwards and way more cost effective!
Another plus was we got a few hundred dollars back on the front door we chose, as the one in the display was pricier but we hated it!

Counting down the days til we get earthworks started...
