I like the proffessionilism about stockland though it says for more information visit http://www.whitemanedge.com.au/ but it seems this website is broken? Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 82Aug 04, 2012 10:25 pm Thanks guys! We were so suprised that City of Swan approved our building license so quickly!! It was lodged on the 25th of July and was approved on the 2nd of August! Usually it takes 25 working days so we are VERY happy!! Not sure if the 4 weeks is until slab goes down or for them to think about when they will put it down lol! Either way I hope it just goes really fast so we can hurry up and have our slab party haha!! We didn't buy the paper today so missed out on the article ... What did it say? Took a drive through the estate today, heaps of slabs are going down! One had just finished being poured while we were there! So Aussie are going to be sending us the final variation for site works costs on Monday. Fingers and toes crossed that the provisional sums that we paid in the contract get reduced and not increased!! I read our soil testing report that City of Swan had and the report said nothing but grey sand was found, so hopefully that's a good sign... That's about everything for now, how is everyone elses builds coming along? Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 83Aug 04, 2012 11:05 pm how would I able to view my report for my land about soil? Yeah I drove through their today show our friends. It was just about a canadian and kiwi couple camping out over night to buy land their for the latest stage and them saying how good it's gonna be lol. That's incredibley quick hopefully we get ours done soon they say it's been submitted to the shire. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 84Aug 04, 2012 11:12 pm City of Swan will send your approval through to you by email and the soil report should be in that email. You can check to see if they have lodged your application on the City of Swan website. Just click on Applications Online and then you can search your address and see its progress Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 86Aug 17, 2012 2:55 am Sooooo we received some news today... After only just over a week in scheduling our earthworks are due to start NEXT WEEK with our slab booked in for next THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nearly a year since we first bought out block and we have finally made it woooooo hooooooo!!! Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 87Aug 17, 2012 7:14 am omg how lucky are you guys! so jealous! Are you gonna go down and check it out? I wonder if there is gonna be any hard digging or that machine they use the break down rock. Lets us know if they have smooth sailing Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 90Aug 17, 2012 8:08 pm slow.... application was lodged to council on 8.8.12 and ain't done yet think yours was processed quicker off memory. Hopefully have more insight by the end of next week what is happening. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 91Aug 17, 2012 8:37 pm At least it has been lodged now - one step closer! If nothing happens with your application by mid next week, maybe give City of Swan a call to find out what's going on. They seem to be approving things quite quickly, it might just be that lots of people are getting to the lodgment stage now... Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 93Aug 18, 2012 6:19 pm Hi Frannny, Im a newbie to H1 and I was searching for other people building with Aussie Living and came across your thread. Congrats on your earthworks starting next week. My partner and I signed up with Aussie Living in May and we're up to about the same stage as you, ours is in scheduling at the moment, it's been there for about a week now. How have you found ALH so far? From what you'e written it sounds like everything is happening really quickly Hope to speak to you soon Nikkita Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 97Aug 20, 2012 4:04 pm Hi Nikkita Great to hear from you - I love hearing from others who are building with Aussie Congrats to you too on reaching scheduling - so jealous that you have got to that stage after only 3 months! Although, its our fault for buying untitled land I suppose lol! Without cursing things - Aussie have been amazing so far. Our sale rep was great as was our prestart girl. Always straight back to me with replies to emails and phone calls and they have been really on the ball. Fingers crossed that the rain stays away this week, particularly on Thursday so that our slab can go down! I have a feeling that I will be visiting the block every day this week haha! Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build. We are required to have a concrete path… 0 13551 get them to replace the chipped tiles. It will stick out like a sore thumb overwise. Also tiler will be siliconing the miters rather than grouting.
