Hard to concentrate, lucky I have a good boss who is quite a bit younger than me and he is going through his own problems with an extention to his house so we quite often have a chat about the problems. I think we have been more than fair giving them the oportunity to sell their house. We extended the original contract by 1 week and now they have been given 7 days to finalise. I don't think they every really had a sale, the information their agent was feeding them and our agent was all crap (sorry). So we go back on the market and have an open this weekend. Have a few bare rooms as we had started to sell our furniture. Building my new house seams like a dream now as it can't happen until we sell our house. Feeling a little sad and teary This has not going at all to plan. Lets hope we have some luck over the weekend. I hope you have some luck at this weekend's open. Thanks me too. I plan to be giving you all the good news next week. How's that for positive thoughts. Re: The Rocks Place - The Summit - Mt Barker SA 96Mar 18, 2011 1:27 pm That's sad news that your house hasn't sold yet. I hope you can find a buyer this weekend, preferably with no conditions on the contract this time. I know how you must be feeling with all the waiting. It feels like your build will never begin. We've hit another hurdle ourselves with our build. The surveyor discovered an old stormwater pipe running from the back corner of our block to the street. The builder needs to forward the surveyor's report to us so we can forward it to the demolition people so they can remove the pipe. Unfortunately, I still haven't received the report so I'm just waiting Re: The Rocks Place - The Summit - Mt Barker SA 97Mar 18, 2011 2:13 pm Theresa That's sad news that your house hasn't sold yet. Then tomorrow comes and goes and no news, and on and on it goes with no result. Sorry you've run into a hurdle. Hopefully will be sorted soon, maybe we will both have good news next week. Yes, I know, I'm finding it very hard not to just wish this whole year away so I can get into my home sooner. It's not good. I don't know why I do that either. I'm actually quite comfortable in our rental property and the build will inevitably happen in due course. The people on Monday well, he loved it she loved the one up the road. Apparently the problem with ours is they would have to put tiles down (we have lino in the living areas) and the shed isn't big enough. So we open again this weekend. Builder has said that because we are over 6 months since we signed they would have to do the quote again as things would have gone up. Might have to play hard ball with them and suggest that we can pull our build with them and we only lose $2,500 they will loose $240,000. See how keen they are to put the price up then. Sorry to ask but could you all just cross everything. Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home. Visit for… 1 16719 Appreciate that Chippy.
