Oh and the price included Dunlop premium underlay and fitting (obv)... So all in all we saved $13 a sq! I got wool from the same place with the dunlop ( i keep calling it bridgestone tho ) for $51 sqm laid. PR how did you fair? Mmmm Blackbutt........ We got roughly 85sqm of blackbutt for $12.5K and the carpet was $5.5K and they threw in a. Ours is a plush with stianmaster protection so you can pour a can of coke on it and literally the liquid sits on the surface of the carpet. It will not penetrate. You can pat it dry and it looks like new. Our carpet is like a cream/beige color with a squares pattern in it. We got a big rug too! Plus free storage. We got thousands off. Without the trade discount it would have cost us around $21-22K according to the salesman. Re: Summit Xanthus - Aubin Gardens 92Jul 11, 2010 3:58 pm Brooklet we've chosen the flute tiles in our kitchen! i had a squiz at the bricking for our four metre kitchen bench the other day, I'm looking forward to it our front render colours will be silver hawk and flintstone, maybe with a touch of elephant oh, and anotec dark grey window frames and touches! the bricks on the sides of the house are Tuscan i think our houses will match pretty well we have chosen flintstone as our front door colour and pewter as our main render colour. i'm a lil nervous as to what its gunna look like. i'm scared im going to have a pink house. (it is a shade between the 2 colours above flintstone in the solver booklet) i did like silver hawk too. render colours - they do my head in!!! PR how did you fair? BP, we also went to CarpetCall and Echo we were looking at Redbook plush carpet for $35sqm and another Redbook plush with those little squares in them at $40sqm. That's installed with platinum underlay. We still haven't decided as we've been to another carpet store in Malaga and have found another Redbook plush we love that's a little cheaper. I'm also getting a quote from a guy Ash (royalblue) has referred me to. So will see how it goes. Still trying to find porcelain tiles and a tiler. Grrr. And then once you go to prestart you have to wait for costings to come back. It seems to be a long waiting game. At least we are getting some movement at council. Re: Summit Xanthus - Contract Signed, Flooring Bought!!!! 96Jul 16, 2010 6:17 pm Yeah the waiting... Esp with doing FIFO work... trying to juggle the timing so we dont lose more time as I'm away.... The admin support person said Quote: The Shire Liaison officer has informed me the Building License will be forwarded within a week or so. Re: Summit Xanthus - Contract Signed, Flooring Bought!!!! 97Jul 16, 2010 6:46 pm Wow thats great. Apparently the council are getting things through faster now. FIFO is a pain like that. I know when I have to go to site by the time you get back there is so much stuff that needs to be done and then it always seem nobody can fit you in when you are on break. Ours is held up as we have made some changes therefore it needs to be signed off by council. The original plans said we were having a colourbond roof however we are having monier flat profile tiles now as per the display and also the wall recess for the fireplace is causing dramas again. Starting to regret getting it. They look nice however not sure whether its worth the hassle. Lets hope once the plans are redrawn in 5-10 days we are all sorted. Re: Summit Xanthus - Contract Signed, Flooring Bought!!!! 98Jul 16, 2010 6:50 pm Gonna sic the wife on Summit on Monday I think.... nicely of course.... she is a lot more patient than I am... It's a touch frustrating with the COC building licence as they have this online "Masterplan" system which alleges that it works in real-time... but there def isn't any receipt of my plans etc! Hence why I'm a bit doubtful... Re: Summit Xanthus - Contract Signed, Flooring Bought!!!! 99Jul 16, 2010 6:56 pm I know the feeling. I looked on masterplan and it said for weeks it had a receipt of our plans and then said it was completed. Now it says they want more information. What the? No mention of a building licence either. Builder reckons we are only a week or two away now from getting the licence. Our plans have been in since the 4th June. Re: Summit Xanthus - Contract Signed, Flooring Bought!!!! 100Jul 17, 2010 3:23 am Our building licence took all of 11 days. Even our CLO was shocked.
