The tilers have been in and have got most of the tiling finished. Hubby and I certainly had a laugh, but we didn't know what to say to to kids who are only 5 and 3 Donski Must say that I love the grandview floorplan! Plenty of storage space throughout the house too. Can't wait to see more progress pics!! Thanks Donski. The floorplan was what sold us on the Grandview, that and the fact that it had everything on our wish list like the walk in linen, walk in pantry and most importantly of all the kids retreat. We are sooo looking forward to all their toys being far away from our main living area. How strange that Henley won't do shower niches. I paid a lot of money for that niche ($384) but it was a must have for me. Yes, it is very hard to tell from the photos as the tiles are so dirty with the grout, so I can't wait until they have been cleaned and I can see them properly. The floors tiles are beige in all rooms. We used the matte tiles for the laundry and kids bathroom, and the same tile but in gloss for the ensuite to give it a more luxurious look. Can you tell me the size of your floor tiles. Just trying to work out the distance between your vanity and the wall opposite as we are having a similar set up. Loving your shower niche. Our builder wouldn't do one. Re: Northbound's M$tric0n Grandview 36 - Tiling pics!! 93Jul 25, 2010 10:02 am Your house is looking awesome Northbound.... No photos yet as it has been raining so not many photo opportunities. The cornice has started going up today. There is one guy doing it all by himself which I find unbelievable. Went to the house just as he was packing up to leave this afternoon and not terribly much had been done. He had better get a wriggle on as the painter is meant to start on Friday Building the Grandview 36 with M$tric0n Plans approved 15/4/2010 Site start date 21/5/2010 Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32825&p=461266#p461266 Re: Northbound's M$tric0n Grandview 36 - Tiling pics!! 99Jul 28, 2010 8:39 pm That's great you got the right garage door, although the other one looked good too. The painter will start even if cornicing isn't completed, same happened at my place. Hope you see some real progress over the next week Re: Northbound's M$tric0n Grandview 36 - Tiling pics!! 100Aug 07, 2010 2:40 pm Things seem to have really slowed down in the last couple of weeks, yet there has been a fair bit done. Probably a sign of my impatience more than anything. We now have the correct colour garage door on and we love it - definitely made the right choice. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our ceasarstone benchtops are in, as well as the diamondgloss benchtop in the laundry. Most of the cupboard door handles are on in the kitchen, and the ensute vanities and laundry cupboard doors all have their handles on. The laminate has been put on the hearth, and the downpipes installed. We went to the house this morning to get new photos, however the painters were there and have now covered up everything in drop sheets, so sorry not much in the way of photos .
