You can listen to Delta all you like this is fabulous!!!! It can only help my budget to have it still completely fabulous but fractionally smaller I love that I have a couple of different options to discuss with builders (a couple..... yeah I know..... I chuckled too!!!) ~ okjorg viewtopic.php?f=31&t=55196&p=844089#p844089 Settlement date - 13 Jan Final plans - 24 Sept Council approval - 21 Oct First peg in the ground - 7 Nov Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 786Apr 26, 2012 10:59 pm Sorry. . .but I decreased your hallway to 1100. . . I'm sure it'll be fine though. I've maintained the L-shaped roof, and now your extra bit of roof only has to go over the ensuite and master bed's deck. . . you still need to check how they will do this, but I'm pretty confident it will be ok. Your shower in the ensuite is approx 1m x 1.6m. . . vanity is 750mm. We may be able to increase the vanity and decrease the shower, but then the shower door opening is getting a wee bit close to the toilet ('scuse the pun). Main bathroom. . . if you have the wall there as you come in, you won't see the toilet on entry. . . but if you get rid of the wall, it'll be cheaper, and you can make use of the cross-breeze for the kids' bedrooms at night. I've replaced your walk-in-linen with a normal linen (3 doors), but I think the huge store more than makes up for that. Dining room and kitchen width suffered a little, but because of this I was able to bring the deck width down a bit, which you really won't notice. This matches the 100mm taken from the hallway, so the roofs stay the same width. Added another 200mm to the family room onto the deck. Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 788Apr 26, 2012 11:01 pm The more I look at it....... the more I don't like the new kitchen/ensuite area....... I think I liked it the way it was...... But I understand I have to get a few different options happening............ I'm not a squillionaire!!!!! Could be better for your children too as their doors are very close to each other. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 795Apr 27, 2012 7:33 am I think Kiwi may have pointed out something about noise factor at one point.. Can we have a small nib wall either side of tthe foyer where the study wall ends? Doesn't have to be much wil will block the view of the breakfast bar as you walk in and also define tthe foyer without closing it in IYKWIM? Ok soooooo I don't like how the kitchen and dining is all sucked in now......... the kitchen feels heaps smaller???? Everything else looks good... I like dreamcometrue's idea of changing that bedroom door and wardrobe.... otherwise I've been thinking about something jodge said about the sliding doors in the bedrooms..... I can have quite huge sliding doors in there if we wanted........ but I could also have a standard sliding door with space for a desk as well...... without taking up the whole wall......... I really don't need biggest in the kids rooms.......but myyyyy room.... ~ okjorg viewtopic.php?f=31&t=55196&p=844089#p844089 Settlement date - 13 Jan Final plans - 24 Sept Council approval - 21 Oct First peg in the ground - 7 Nov Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 797Apr 27, 2012 9:00 am Hi Okjorg, I am building off Yeppoon Road with local builder, Ben Hooper. Can't wait to tune in to see what happens next. We too are having a tv point outside and also an open fireplace so we can be warm and toasty when watching state of origin. (Queenslander !!!!!!)
