It's a well-known bug with the application that the developers have never completely fixed. I find Tapatalk to be less useful than just using my mobile browser. Looks like the AF is a "Fixed" and the AA is an "Awning".. I assume the first A is Aluminium.. but as for the X and the other number before the dash and the two after the dash.. no idea. None of the manufacturer websites show any window codes that have the X.. so I can only assume the X stands for "custom". Denot, We waited until everything was complete to do our own. Even one of our stacker doors was 15mm smaller than the other. Both were suppose to be 2700 stackers, but one ended up measuring 2685. As you can see, the X window is a slightly different size. So that's why I suspect it is a "custom" size specifically created for Clarendon in use of their house designs. I also included the downstairs one so that you can see the T means transom bar. I wish our day looked like that today.. Fortunately, it does seem like the rain is going away and there wasn't all that much rain where our house is being built... I just hope it wasn't enough to completely scrap brick laying for 3 days... That would be the X but the size still is not clear! This is interesting. Why dont you ask you CSC how to determine sizes from your codes? That would be the X but the size still is not clear! This is interesting. Why dont you ask you CSC how to determine sizes from your codes? The xaa windows do open. The xaf windows don't. The second letter is the type. No, I'm almost certain now that the x stands for custom. And the Clarendon architects just drag and drop them from their library of windows into their designs to make everything fit and look balanced etc I will be asking the Csc but he's away right now Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7612May 22, 2015 1:24 pm 1st time builders Its a beautiful day for framing here on the Gold Coast today http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a528/jeric19811/IMG_8582_zpszi74xy4e.jpg How exciting!!! This is interesting. Why dont you ask you CSC how to determine sizes from your codes? AAW means Aluminum Awning Window....meaning it opens outside. The X wouldn't mean that. Light487, Your upstairs has full length Aluminum Awning Windows whereby downstairs they are opening 2/3 of way and that's what the T is at the end of the 1808T. Exactly the T is the transom, which is like the little horizontal bar that cuts the window about a 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. I have other windows with the T and they are the same. I think he is down to 28 now. We had to light a fire to get things done and now hopfully things r on the move. Belle - I'm building at Stonecutters ridge,Colebee NSW. We had issues with capping on our parapet roof that caused delay. But hopefully smoother sailing now. Light487 -Wow your frontage looks similar to mine! What colour capping and render r u planning on going? 1sttimebuilder - Woohoo for nice weather it's good when u get a dry spell and they can get a heap done. Justwondering - Good to see u on here again, hows the house going? rmjose - Your place is looking mighty fine! Building the Waterside34 (39 after upgrades) Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 7617May 22, 2015 2:03 pm We're not doing any rendering, at least not with Clarendon. We are going to wait to see how it looks as is and if we honestly think it will look better with rendering, then we'll work it out then. I can only assume that the capping will be the same as our colorbond roof? I don't recall ever being asked what colour the capping would be. SS wasn't overly concerned by the delay, said it was pretty normal in the industry and that once things get going, things will speed along. He's not at all worried about the timeline etc and still very confident of meeting the contracted time to build etc. And while I do believe and accept all that and at the same time I am not impatient for it to start etc, I am still very excited to get it all going. In any case, the SS says that he knows the brick layer quite well and that he does quality work etc So we will get bricks laid up until scaffold height, then he will move to another project until scaffolding is up, then he will come back to finish off. What you are saying is correct but do not use it for your fly screens or blinds. There is a list that Clarendon has that gives you true measurements but the ones on the plans are not true measurements. For example, on one of our windows the measurement was 1818 which is 1800h x 1800w. The true measurement ended up being 1800h x 1810w. Another window in the bedroom was 1318. Instead of 1300h x 1800w, it was 1370h x 1800w. We're getting our blinds installed today. Thanks Justwondering! So I should manually measure them for better precision yeah? That's right - the measurements from the plans will be close enough for quotes. But if you're having custom made blinds and screens, you really want them to have the perfect fit - so at least wait until the architraves are in to get these final measurements. Here is a video on how to measure the windows which I hope you'll find helpful - http://www.homeblindsaustralia.com.au/c ... n-shutters Regards, Naomi It is Genneral stairs, but they won't deal with anyone off the street.
