Good for you. The house should be done the way you want it and specified. I would rather a short delay and it well be done right rather than rushing and things aren't done properly

We tried to get a heating vent in the study as it will be our lounge room. We added 1400 from the family room into the study so we hoped that we would be close enough. There are no service ducts near enough to the study to get a heating vent in there. We are putting a provision for a fireplace in there, and there are three vents in the back half of the house, one in the passage outside so we think it will be ok. Pm me if you have any other questions happy to help. Cheers Back Pocket Hi back pocket We asked for one in the study as we might use it a bedroom when my mum visits. But was told the same. But we did see one in the study at aspire and have a photo of it. If they can't give it to the customer why are they having it on display. It was the same with a particular freestanding tub at a life style display home. The color consultant told us it was only for prestige. Thank will do. When we went for colours we did not like the kitchen tap that is part of the package and asked to have the posh solus(?) anyway the short one with the pull out veggie sprayer. Told no only for access. The people at Hopetoun were very adamant. Spoke to the lady at contract and mentioned that we did not like it and will replace after hand over and she said " Yes, you can" and put it in the contract for us. So I would push at contract. Hard to turn down a $400k deal for a $168 veggie sprayer. Same with a bath I imagine, although I can understand the heating vent if the engineering really has not been done. We turned the lounge into a guest suite for my mum. Added 1400 into the study to make it into a lounge room instead. Hi Tinker, After your post, I went back to the draftsman and said that even though his plans said otherwise, you were sure there was a vent in the study. I then asked for the sales person at the Aspire display village to go and photograph the study and you were right, there is a vent in the study of that display home. This vent should not have been placed in this room as there are no service ducts close enough to the study in the Hoffman to have a vent in there. This was mistake and we are now in the process of having it removed and plastered over to avoid any further confusion. I apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish you all the best with your build. Regards, Helen Porter Davis Homes Questions? So glad everything is going well When were you at Hopetoun doing your colours? Dragonchild, when we were looking at one of the facades that had stack stone in the picture (Burton), we were disappointed to find out the stack stone isn't actually included in the price of the facade. In fact, it was many thousands more. Our SC basically said that it is much more cost effective to do the stack stone afterwards... I think it was going to be over $4000 for the stack stone... so we definitely didn't go for that on top of the $4500 for the Burton facade. Hi ftdt7882, Do you know the length of that bath? We building Lifestyle as well and we asked for the bath in all the displays ( the rounder deeper style) and were told by our BC that they no longer use that bath and have changed to the more square one now as they change their products to keep up with the current modern style??? We said well can't see how the square design is the new modern style, its in our current house which is 10 years old!!! This has just topped it off for us, lie after lie with PD and I have had enough. Why do they tell one person something and something different to someone else. I would like you to respond to this Helen from PD, how can we be told this about the bath and obviously it is completely untrue????? Doesn't fit with PD apparent values and service to customers does it Re: Porter Davis homes 7359May 25, 2013 10:36 am Mikey_Harrison Hello All Time for my 12 month inspection ! Can you believe it.
