Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 721Mar 25, 2015 5:12 pm The only thing we can do about it is cry lol. Let's hope once the lake is all complete and all of riverside is complete our houses will be worth even more to make it all back. It's pretty crap, I doubt materials go up that much, just extra profit to the home builders. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 724Mar 25, 2015 6:49 pm Sorry to hear all this guys... It totally sucks. Ours isn't quite that bad, we only signed contracts in October. We hope that we are ready to roll by mid May otherwise we pay $1000 per month to the builder Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 725Mar 25, 2015 7:10 pm I am so sorry to hear about the horrendous price hike from your builder Mat87. We will also be paying $1000 per month until our land registers, but your price hike is hurtful. I hope the builder can throw some upgrades in for you. Hope the land registers soon and you can get on with your building and you can then focus on your lovely home. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 726Mar 25, 2015 9:03 pm The Ebs Our tender ran out in October and we are with new living homes. We have no idea how much we will have to pay... Hey The Ebs, we are with New Living Homes and they have quoted us $1500 per quarter, ours ran out in August 2014.. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 727Mar 26, 2015 1:45 pm OMG I feel for all of you. I am yet to find out from Masterton when we have to pay upto $1000 per month, you guys might be able to help. We didn't sign our contract til August 2014, do the increases start 12 months from then or 12 months from our initial deposit which was April 2014. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 728Mar 26, 2015 1:49 pm I would say from when you put down your deposit. Our's was a $10,000 deposit and the contract valid for 12 months starting from once the deposit was put down. That was our's, maybe other builders are different. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 729Mar 26, 2015 3:12 pm Thanks Mat87 Our first dep was $1000 to hold it, then when ready to draw up plans $2500, the 5% dep when er signed contracts and this was only affter we sold our house??? Will have to ring the builder. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 730Mar 26, 2015 4:23 pm Hopefully you are safe, wasn't a nice surprise. Ours was a house and land package so was pretty much ready to all go, just sign papers and put the deposit down. Let's just hope the land registers and doesn't go into next year, or will have to pay another 4% increase lol. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 731Mar 27, 2015 1:55 pm Thanks Mat87 I hope it does for your sake as well. Ours is house and land package as well but we made a lot of changes (at a cost) and because our house is not on display we have had to rely on floor plan, lucky one of the staff at Masterton were building same house and contacted us when it was at hand over and invited us up to see it.....and also advised us of mistakes he made so we wouldn't make the same....lol Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 734Mar 27, 2015 8:39 pm Nothing. That's what's happening. We did go out this evening, the only thing that's happened is that the first block closest to roundabout is properly pegged out and ready to go. That's what I'm assuming councils civil engineers/conveyancers are doing for the next few weeks. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 737Mar 28, 2015 9:03 am I will be calling and hassling council onTuesday (not home Monday, son is performing at Easter Show). Hope council do not give me the runaround, getting sick of all this now! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 738Mar 28, 2015 10:30 am Hi all I think we are all getting sick about it now!! I posted on Facebook suggesting we may have to contact ACA to get the ball moving, what are all your thoughts? Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 739Mar 28, 2015 11:14 am Hey springfarm4216, you know that I am with you all the way, just like I also posted on Facebook. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 740Mar 28, 2015 12:03 pm seriously tired of the bull. However we are almost there I can taste it, still don't trust them tho Congrats. Will be watching this progress and interested to see how you go with summit. 12 36039 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair We purchased a 1960s property that is on timber stumps mostly, and a newer section is on concrete stumps.
