Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 721Jan 14, 2015 8:48 am This is the state Legislation for NSW and mentions setbacks. http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/maint ... 008+cd+0+N I also have the NSW Housing Code A Guide to complying developments and that also lists setbacks. I can't find the link I used to get that. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 722Jan 14, 2015 8:49 am Nat879 joandandy Oh Nat879 I am shattered for you too. We are now in the same boat as you but I am going to stay positive. Hopefully LL and Council can come to some agreement. I am going to have to call our builder today to let him know what is happening & to put everything on hold until this issue is resolved. I believe where there is a will there is a way so stay positive! I like your way of thinking joanandandy. I really hope it gets resolved for all of our sake. I am just running out of time as I am about to go on maternity leave and I can't get the loan for the house! I have already been pre approved but when I go on mat leave it will be a different story. So I have that as well, which is really concerning. Hopefully we have a clearer picture today. Good luck joanandandy. Sorry to hijack your thread! We had setback issues on the gold coast, but it all got sorted in the end. With regards to going on maternity leave, I was in the same boat! We had to draw our first payment on the construction loan (ie for the slab invoice) within 90 days of getting loan approval...so just check that aswell! After all of our council problems the slab got poured with a week to spare! Don't want to panic you, but just check! Modified Cisco 37 QLD Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 723Jan 14, 2015 8:59 am Just so your are aware, we have always been told that the Wollondilly Development Control Plan is only a guide for council, it is not the final word on what can and cant get built. We have been told this numerous times when opposing DA's that LL has submitted to council for non complying lot sizes within Bingara Gorge. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 724Jan 14, 2015 9:03 am Hi Nat879, Lenders are understanding, I had marks on my credit history and managed to get pre-approved with documentation on this issue and then going to unconditional approval I was made redundant, but managed contract work only and was still able to get the approval it just took longer than normal. My wife was not working at all during the loan processes. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 725Jan 14, 2015 2:53 pm Hi there, ' for those that have built with MJH in Bingara, have any of you had Ben as your slab supervisor? We are rather excited as our block should be registered soon, and are very much looking forward to seeing our MDJ Milano Four rise out of the dirt in the coming months. The setback issue is disturbing, so we hope all of you get a suitable resolution soon. Our block has a very narrow frontage (little less than 6 metres all up) which opens out to 25m width eventually, anyone had problems with the "separate footpath and driveway" thing? (sorry to go off the setback topic) Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 729Jan 16, 2015 1:17 am Hi Ponds we are lot 138 next door to you we are also building with MDJ we are building The Seaside Retreat we were just talking about how they were going to do your drive way the other day.

Do I need to have a Face Book account or can I access it as a visitor? I have dug my heals in about getting it but would like to be involved with my new community prior to our build.
