Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 722Feb 23, 2014 12:46 am Been gone for a few weeks and you got keys! YAY!!! Congrats on your new beautiful house. Good luck with the painting. Can't wait to see more pics. Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 723Feb 23, 2014 12:15 pm Thanks! Electrician there today hooking up LEDs and putting pendants up - can't wait to see that all come together. A bit nervous actually. Painting is going well. Have finished the bedrooms and passage way. Paving looks good and getting some more retaining done. On the downside someone has fallen through our roof in our study. Giant hole. Hopefully will be fixed ASAP. Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 725Feb 23, 2014 1:08 pm Some bright spark went up there looking for where the water comes into the house so we can run retic pipes under paving. I told them where I thought it was but I don't think they would listen to a little girl about these things haha. I was right. So they dug up the entire front yard and busted the roof for nothing. They are fixing it for us as it was their fault. Still very annoying and stressful. My partner didn't speak for 12 hours - I was worried he would go catatonic (he is the silent angry type). It's a pretty big hole. Also means we can't paint this room until it's fixed. This part is definitely the most exhausting and stressful - but hopefully worth it when I see it all come together Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 729Feb 23, 2014 10:48 pm Great pendant light asj25! Where is it from? Does it have a golden globe or are my eyes deceiving me? Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 730Feb 23, 2014 11:18 pm Bummer.i don't know how the world works . I find when I'm doing well something always goes wrong .just think you can fix it . But in saying that I would stress too. I stress about the most littlest thing .if that happened to me I would of thought oh my god my roof before I would of asked if the person who was up there was ok lol Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 731Feb 23, 2014 11:29 pm It's from freedom! Bit of a bargin actually - prior to finding these I was looking at around $800-1000 for the pendants - got these on sale. Yes they are yellow vintage looking globes. Not 100% on them - but just wanted something to go in them. Snuck back tonight to see all the lights on - it looks pretty great! Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 732Feb 24, 2014 10:13 am LOVE that light!!! Looks awesome! Bugger about the hole in the ceiling! Hope they fix that for you ASAP! Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 736Feb 28, 2014 8:21 pm Haha - it's been an effort that's for sure! We were going to pay for a painter - but our paving is costing an absolute bomb and we weren't really counting on needing so much. Joys of a rear build But I feel like I have worked for it now! So it will make moving in all the sweeter! Re: Redink SOR rear build - painting help! 737Mar 01, 2014 3:17 pm Does anyone know what the minimum requirements for a driveway in WA is? We have a perfectly good driveway that we share we our neighbours. We have cut a channel out the middle of the driveway to lay our services and have filled back in with concrete. It doesn't look awesome but it is in good condition and obviously is functional. We ran this plan past them and they were happy for this to happen. They made it clear that while they were happy for us to put in a new driveway, they wouldn't pay for it. Our neighbours are now saying don't like the way it looks. We didn't pull it up and repave because we thought this was the cheaper option (for us both). The driveway was not new and was not in awesome condition before we started. It looks about 20 years old. We won't pay to put in a new driveway ie; we would expect them to contribute half. I wouldn't think that we would be required to do this either. I am just wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen to them? Or any advice? hey nedket, We have a similar lot like yours . just wondering how is it going with your DA application, is the Blue line is the correct solution (offset the rear boundary… 1 9457 You have no photo with your post.
