The site costs are $60000. This seems really high...and there are still spme provisional costs. Can anyone share their site costs? I will try n scan n upload or attempt to list it here. It has Slab cost, traffic mgmt, council rescode reqmts, permit for cutting overhead power lines if reqd, Electrical pit, energy rating allowance, 2nd soil test etc. Will attempt to upload a pic of it later today. We used Apollo Demolition in Metro Melbourne. They were very good and did it in 2 days, with asbestos clearance certificates. Our sales consultant at Metricon recommended them. Hi Pv Build how much did your demolition cost? Thanks 14k inc GST. Re: Building with Metricon 6564Nov 06, 2017 5:30 pm Agreed re: doing your own electrical pit. 6k through Metricon vs 3.5k through Jemena. Just have to time it right. Do you have slope on your block? It's a KDR, so it's always more expensive than an estate build. Our cost was over double yours, but we have a very sloping block with lots of retaining, beefed up slab and lots of drainage. Re: Building with Metricon 6565Nov 06, 2017 6:46 pm We saved over $2k on getting our pit done ourselves. 3-phase is a little more expensive, but we need it for the solar feedback and running the aircon Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Building with Metricon 6566Nov 06, 2017 7:11 pm Renman Vet Question for wardrobes, I have notice in the plans that the width of a wardrobe is 500. I had robes put in my home and the width is 620. I thought a standard robe has draws for 600. Did anyone change there depth of robs? I requested to have 600mm in the WIR. No charge from M. I had the 3 phase power as well. I just dont get it. Why not making it a bit wider. To those who are just planing to build, its something to concider as they never bring your attention to this. 500 is just wrong and shouldnt be... Depth Yeah we found that out today when going to ikea. It’s was a struggle to make it work. I think the voids are too big. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6577Nov 06, 2017 8:56 pm george27 Doulton777 I think a lot of the voids are not necessary We removed a lot of ours, I can't seem to find your plans in your thread to see your voids though. Oh gosh I wish we did that. We didn’t think to ask. I guess is we bypassed pc as well. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6578Nov 06, 2017 8:59 pm Here they are Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6579Nov 06, 2017 10:05 pm george27 K-Real Hi Vet, 500 is standard for M .the wardrobe width is so narrow. Re: Building with Metricon 6580Nov 06, 2017 10:32 pm Doulton777 LibertyNR My SS said the same thing, they get to pick the tradies as the database is huge. Our last SS resigned, the new one is going to use a deferent carpenter to fix the defects as last one wasn't doing a good job Good so they should be able to pick the tradies. And let them go if they are not doing a good enough job. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Hmm. That might be the case on some things. For example, what about Tiling? We all have to buy tiles from their nominated supplier be it National Tiles, Di Lorenzo, Beaumont. That tiling company will nominate who lays the tiles.
