I love the decking for your outdoor area & that facade is simply stunning! All those windows must shower you with so much natural light, this is something that I think our new home will lack I think we will be adding skylights post-handover. I agree with monkeyupatree. Love those hallway lights. I think they look nicer than downlights if you have a long hallways. Hmm wish I'd thought of doing that. Re: BUILDING update 625Oct 12, 2008 1:33 pm Wow….I missed all this.

I'm looking forward to finishing the other rooms in the house. Some of our furniture is still at mum's so we have a ways to go yet. Next w.e. I'd like to paint a feature wall in our bedroom and maybe DD's room. We are doing a Porters French silver in our room and DD is having a light aqua colour which will match the stripes in her pelmet. I put a wall of open shelves in DDs bedroom which was a mistake as it's making the room look too busy. I might have to re-think my plans and consider other options to pare it down a bit. Donuts we laid couch in the back yard which wasn't the wisest choice, but once I'd realised it was too late to change the order. I'll post progressive pics of the completed rooms as they are finished in this thread. cheers and good luck everyone! Re: BUILDING update 628Oct 12, 2008 8:03 pm Paula Ohhhh love the pics!! Love those windows in the family room (is that where they are?) Did you decide not to paint the fireplace? sorry just saw this ? yes the nine section window is in the family room. We decided not to paint the fireplace surround as the picture adds enough colour to the room. If anything we might do full strength hog bristle down the track. Re: BUILDING update 632Apr 26, 2009 2:08 pm thanks Gettingthere I had to laugh reading back over our journey. Yes it is possible to look back and laugh even if the trip is a bit fraught. We had water leaking in our bedroom the other day because we had some maintentance people working on the balcony and they didn't have time to caulk back the silicone join before the rain . I was telling them at work about the incident and they couldn't believe how calm I was about it. Nothing like have a rough ride to put things into perspective. I'll post some more pics of the finished rooms if you are interested. You might have to wait until I've cleaned the house tho' Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11827 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21617 |
