Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Youngs Castle - in and loving it 61Jan 19, 2009 7:24 pm On Saturday we were told that we could move any of the left over bricks and keep them if we wanted. Well seeing as we have already 'paid' for these we decided that we would take whatever was left, we thought there would a a few. Well in 3 hours we moved 1000 bricks, two bricks at a time.
We are thinking that if the developer allows we will build a fence at the front. I will post a picture tomorrow night. We also got a a quote for our driveway and front path. The quote came in at $3500 for slatecreate, for 50m2. Can anyone tell me if that is a good price or not??? Bricking all completed and plaster to be going up by end of month. We've been doing drive-bys of your house when we go see ours and i cant believe how fast your bricks went up!! One week it was frame, the next it was almost finished! We actually saw the brickies working on your house over the Christmas period and thought "Lucky you!!". There was hardly anything done over Christmas for us.. we had our bricks delivered, that's it. But they started pretty much the second week back.
Did you have a picture of your dining setting? I'm very interested in taking a look at it. We've been looking at dining settings as well, but cant decide wat we like. We definately want a solid wood table, chairs we havent decided yet.
