Yay. I haven't actually asked HGWA how long it was going to take till slab down. Loving your choices. I'm glad you got something for free out of them. We spent $23k on Prestart, and we already had a lot of things done to it ($105k in changes from base price) We had a small truckload of limestone dirt dumped on our block several weeks ago, so I know how you feel. Good luck and I'll be watching closely. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80963&start=10#p1475600 Re: our first home group wa home 63Mar 27, 2016 11:27 pm Hi we spent about the same in total but hopfully its worth it. Its a great plan cant wait til it all starts our first home group wa home 64Mar 28, 2016 12:47 pm We also had our pre-start last month, too much to do within a day. We missed quite few things on the day but managed to add few of those later. I hope it would have been nice if HGWA allowed us to add few more minor changes to it. Re: our first home group wa home 65Apr 01, 2016 3:07 pm Omg we just received our building permit. Omg its happening all so quickly but i love it Re: our first home group wa home 69Apr 12, 2016 4:41 pm I am also building with Home Group, love your plan.. very spacious! following your build. Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82755 Re: our first home group wa home 71Apr 13, 2016 4:59 pm Omg first payment being made. And now its started. The stress of money and renting and mortgage. Will totally be worth it in the end Re: our first home group wa home 72Apr 13, 2016 9:54 pm Has anyone used the homegroup tiles for the floor. Not the **** standard ones the upgraded rectified ones. We took flooring out but after pricing up flooring last few days its gonna be alot cheaper for home group to do it. $24k for 600x600 tiles through local tile place. WTF couldnt believe it Re: our first home group wa home 74Apr 14, 2016 12:03 am So the standard ones. I emailed them today and they told me i could add them in which is good but have to wait til they move us into construction. I think we are gonna go with the ones that are in the southport display. Was roughly 5k for whole house which compared to others places is bloody good These are the display ones. We have black dellavita benchtop and gloss white cupboards and im thinking a pale grey for the walls Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: our first home group wa home 77Apr 14, 2016 10:39 am Love the grey tiles in the Southport. But was worried about the grout. We had white porcelain in our last house it was great but the grout got dirty. We have chosen vinyl planking for ease of cleaning and we have a very large dog. It cost us about $5000 extra as we took out the included main tiling. But still love the look of the grey ones. Re: our first home group wa home 79Apr 14, 2016 11:19 am My husband likes the vinyl planking but we had it in our previous house and it popped a few places from moisture and i was forever mopping up spills from the kids. And you cant use a normal mop on them have to use a non water mop. I am worried about the grout too but was thinking maybe getting grey grout and paying for the gap to be smaller but not sure if that would change anything. I would prefer to just polish the concrete but hubby hates the look so instead we will have tiles that are the same colour as concrete, stupid if you ask me but oh well 4 15748 Soak wells and electrical run in happening this week! Summit has told me they will relocate the laundry plumbing after the walls are completed. I'm actually pretty happy… 13 37236 Cant give recommendations in general with that builder, but during the colour selection, this is honestly personal preference. Depends on the style you want. Do you want… 1 797 |
