If your anything like me you can't imagine it I your head and then you start second guessing . Your selections look great though . Thanks Melsie, I am definitely second guessing myself a lot I think I honestly I did not have enough time to do prestart and that was not the builders fault but mine - life was crazy at the time! I had just had a c/section 10 days prior, my toddler had just had chicken pox and we were about to leave the hotel we had been living in for 2 months to travel the 2000km home when we had our prestart. Hence why it was crazy I had to do it then otherwise I had to fly back down for prestart and I didn't want to do that. Our prestart was delayed for months because of soil sample delays and dramas with our siteworks etc. In my little world I had planned to be halfway through construction by then but that didn't happen, lol. This building thing really has been a crazy journey for me Anyway, I'm just hoping all my tile selections and other choices go well together! I can't wait to see my kitchen all finished, I think that will look great Our brickies started our walls last Monday. By Tuesday they had done one back wall and 1 wall that was the whole left hand side of the house in one day. I'm wondering how much they have got done since then? I have photos but they are too grainy to post. I'm hoping to get some more photos soon? I'm very excited that bricks have begun Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 65Apr 25, 2015 11:51 am Sounds like progress JMCL! It is something I remember from my first build, how much you second guess your selections, then that incredible sigh of relief when you actually see it all together as you envisioned! Have faith my friend! I think we could pen a psychological term for it, you make your selections such a long time in advance they do seem to take on a life all of their own! Tile Tormentus! Oh FantasticFour, tile torments describes it perfectly I hope it looks good at the end? And look at all the greenery surrounding our block. I can't wait to move into our house. The area is absolutely stunning! A local real estate agent told us they bought near our block years ago because we live by some of the best walking tracks in the South West - she said there are five that start just near our house We will be living about 10 houses from the bush which will be perfect. Not too close and not too far. I can't wait to explore Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 70Apr 28, 2015 8:46 pm Thats the one i was going to go with Was in love with it right until prestart but changed my mind because of the "bumpiness" of the brick. Ended up going with cream smooth. But i do still love the colour of this brick. I hope it looks great for you! Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 71Apr 28, 2015 8:48 pm Well I've started to do a little bit of shopping for the new home and this is the rug I have just bought for the family room. The colours are amazing and I think it will suit the space perfectly Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And this is the rug I've bought for the kids games room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ They are both sitting in my spare room waiting to be used. I didn't want to buy anything and have it sent to where I live as we're moving a very long distance but these rugs are both limited edition and once they are sold out they are gone for good. I didn't want to take a chance and miss out on them so I splurged and bought them. I've been super busy trying to find some new items for our house. I've been researching lights and I think I finally might have found the pendants for the hallway??? I need to check it out in the flesh first though? Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 72Apr 28, 2015 9:24 pm Ohhhhh I'm loving those colours in the rugs! Its a tad too far away to move in day for me but it hasn't stopped me window shopping! What sort of vibe are you going for JMCL? My games room will be my two daughter's space, I was thinking vintage/retro....neutral furniture like this lounge with pops of colour Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ....that second rug would be perfect if, when you move in, it doesn't work for you! I'm going to wait until I've moved in and then decide which tap. I lost sleep over it and my husband thought I was crazy and said he doesn't mind me changing it later on. Phew, I feel bad wasting money changing it later but my husband said not too worry about it Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 80Apr 28, 2015 10:52 pm Your husband sounds like mine .
