Still only one soak well in the ground though And while I had some doubts about whether I liked my face bricks, now that they're in actual walls I love them! Brickies :) 67Nov 07, 2013 2:19 pm Thanks for all the positivity guys! I do love the views and they're well worth the higher site works costs! I've been away for a couple of weeks with no internet access, and came home to my next progress claim in the letterbox! Brick work is now complete and the roof carpentry is almost done as well ... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So next step Colorbond! And then, apart from the lack of windows, doors and stuff it will look like a real house Have also had to remake more colour decisions ... I had an email from the CLO asking whether I wanted the wine rack over the fridge recess to be dawn grey like the lower cupboards and fridge recess panel or mist grey like the overhead cupboards. Went with the dawn grey and hoping that it won't look weird. And next week, after my uni exams are over, my days off are going to become a haze of fencing and flooring and window treatment explorations! Not that I'll have the money to do it all at once, I'm fully prepared to live on concrete floors for at least a few months after moving in, but at the moment I haven't even decided what I want (except no carpet!). Fencing is at least a bit easier as the estate guidelines require country style post and wire fencing to retain the views, but the cost of that will dictate what else gets done straight away. Am hoping to at least have the cash for the fencing and cat run and then move onto the less important floors, windows paint ... I couldn't get more than one picture as there were guys on site working but here it is, my Colorbond moment ... It's a bit surreal actually. I don't even feel we own it yet! Looking back at your thread, your Clb roof was to be dune. Your pic looks much lighter, or is that just my computer? Re: Building with Redink in Jarrahdale... Colorbond Moment! 76Nov 26, 2013 10:29 pm Funny you say that because I thought the same thing, but the Colorbond was on site when I took the photos of the completed roof carpentry and was clearly labelled Dune. I never saw an actual sample when I chose it, just the interior designer's colour swatch, and I will say that there does seem to be a bit of a difference between that and the true colour (and to the Colorbond website for that matter). Luckily I like it! And it will look even better when the gable bits are painted to match. One thing I will say though ... I chose to have the front doors painted Dune to match and on the paperwork there's a warning that they don't recommend painting in such dark colours due to fading issues ... looking at the roof I wouldn't call that colour dark! Colorbond Moment! 78Nov 26, 2013 10:53 pm "shrug" My front door will be nearly black, sort of a dark plum charcoal, but both of our front doors are under cover of deepish verandahs so I think asj5 is probably right. . . Re: Building with Redink in Jarrahdale... Colorbond Moment! 79Nov 26, 2013 11:17 pm Wow, you'd think they'd at least take that disclaimer out if the doors aren't being painted I thought much as you did trees, that realistically the doors wouldn't get a lot of real sun anyway!
