It's so daunting and such a struggle arguing with these building companies. I had a very similar situation, I had always wanted Horizon (flat profile) roof tiles, and on all the plans it was a choice between Horizon or Hacienda, and I just thought you pick at Prestart, coz my sales guy never ever asked, and I had asked him several times "Is there anything we haven't discussed that I should add or change". Obviously by Prestart, when I said I want Horizon, they said it was way too late. Wish I'd voiced my thoughts aloud with the sales guy! I still look at my roof and hate it.. Glad you got your way, sucks about the delay though. Pre-start is definitely the hard bit as you are making solid decisions that will affect the entire appearance Re: Trinity, Building with Impressions-Prestart done $ duste 63Feb 27, 2013 11:47 am Perth Dream, looks like we're neighbours! We're almost directly across the road from you on Columbia Cres We're just waiting to hear from the builders for a definite date that our slab will be poured - fingers crossed it will only be a couple of weeks to go Re: Trinity, Building with Impressions-Prestart done $ duste 64Feb 27, 2013 11:48 am That's interesting about you roof tile business. I guess Redink do their paperwork in a different order, as we has a choice of tiles or colourbond and picked tiles at prestart with no issues. It's a nice feeling having prestart completed though hopefully your paperwork will be complete quickly then slab time !!!! Will be a good build to follow Re: Trinity, build - We have TITLES 78Apr 22, 2013 12:11 pm We're building through Celebration Homes - very happy with them so far. Have family working at the top end of the spectrum of the ABN group, so we got a few extras above the usual spec. It was great to see half a roof frame on when we visited over the weekend! Going to keep my fingers crossed that the rains don't cause too much delay with the roof being completed before the real wet weather sets in. It seems that things are ticking along very well with our street; more slabs have been poured since last week and other have been scraped or at least surveyed. Everything going up around the same time will be good for when we all move in - hopefully we won't have too much in the way of construction noise to deal with. Should I excavate and cut all of the dirt to level with the house slab or semi-excavate as per photo above? Both left and right… 0 25600 |
