Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Excavated! 62Nov 09, 2011 9:25 pm willcres Hi Cass, Are you going to get Actron A/C from Wisdom or just ducting only ? We did the whole unit with Wisdom. We got back our di lorenzo quote today.. lets just say I am not happy, so back out there on sat. On a good note, site fencing, piering and the start of the formwork is completed. Some pics... My boys were very excited and my 4 year old loved watching the drilling for the piering this morning. Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Piering and Formwork 63Nov 09, 2011 9:31 pm Nice!!! Can't wait for mine too... So what happened with Di Lorenzo ? Do you mind to PM me ? Thanks, Cass. With A/C, did you take their classic Actron or upgrade to ESP? Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Piering and Formwork 64Nov 11, 2011 10:20 am Drainage was done yesterday and they are back today with the waffle pads and steel and are currently chairing up the steel. Looks like slab will be poured on Monday. Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Piering and Formwork 65Nov 15, 2011 5:45 am Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - We have a Slab! 67Nov 15, 2011 8:56 am That looks like one fine slab there, Congrats Things are moving along really nicely for you Our Build Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=50638 Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - We have a Slab! 68Nov 15, 2011 11:35 am Thanks for the well wishes.. we have had a pretty fast start, but we had a cut off date of the 15th of nov (today) for the slab to be laid and wisdom managed to get it done. It was a bit of pushing but they did it... now on for the next steps. Its a great feeling to see what space you have left on your land. We have an odd shaped block and have come from a block that is double the size of this one, so its good to see what we have to play with now. The kids thought it was fun us pointing out the rooms on the slab.. but then they asked about their bedrooms trying to explain the 2nd storey is a little hard... but they are very chuffed as are we. Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Framing has started 69Dec 01, 2011 10:59 pm Our frame started to go up today. Our SS said they would probably start next week, but what a surprise when I drove by today, I expected maybe it would get delivered but they had most of the ground level done and were putting up the flooring for the 2nd level... I would post pictures but for some reason I cant get the code from my blog...here is the link.... http://wisdommajestic35onourland.blogspot.com/2011/12/day-31-framing-has-commenced.html Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Framing has started 70Dec 02, 2011 7:32 pm That's great, Cass! Good to see the progress! Btw, did u sort out the tiles with Dilorenzo? Are we allowed to choose other tiles after we got quote? Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Framing complete 71Dec 07, 2011 9:44 pm Frame complete.. windows delivered today. Meter box was installed. A thumbs up for Wisdom, after they finished today, they cleaned up the site, put all their rubbish, offcuts etc into a pretty neat pile and cleaned the house, ie, no bits of sawdust, nails, rubbish and seemed to have given it a basic sweep. I was pretty impressed by how clean they are keeping the site. Willcress - I have to go back again. I did go and spend another 3 hours looking at tiles. We are still going to go with a non standard tile, but we are going to cut our costs by by 5.5k by having a 3mm grout line. I have pics on the blog of the colours. http://wisdommajestic35onourland.blogspot.com/2011/12/day-37-frame-stage-finished.html Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Framing complete 72Dec 13, 2011 12:08 pm Lot927 Frame complete.. windows delivered today. Our land doesn't not reg until next year and are wondering if we should accept tender but hold off signing the contract until land is reg or at least until they do the soild tests. Once your testing was done did any further costs get added? We chose WH over EB as we too were quoted for a DEB when we have a flat block with only cut & fill required. At the minute we have no extra site costs which better stay that way.... Hills 111 Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Framing complete 73Dec 13, 2011 4:56 pm the only additional site cost we had for the land component was for the H class slab, but we knew that when we purchased the land we would be up for that. We had a 20cm cut/20cm fill, but our land has a 1m fall from front to back but it fell within the package price. Additional costs for us - were bushfire related extras 10K, we found this out after council decided what they wanted us to have for the house. Wisdom were good about this and costs were reasonable. We had 16K+ additional site costs with EB... but so far our SS for our build is brilliant and we do not have any complaints as yet. if you check out my blog there is more info there. If you want to know any more just message me. We put in things like a fireplace, wisdoms final cost for that was only $200 more than what an external company could do. We have ended up so far about 65K above the package brochure price but we are getting every thing we want, that also includes the 3rd garage, fire etc. Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 74Dec 13, 2011 7:31 pm Wow your block looks almost flat in the pics. Can I ask what bushfire level (bal) you were and what the 10k gave you.... Gutter guards, metal screens. We only have a pa of 5k put in for this. Hills 111 Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 75Dec 13, 2011 8:56 pm Great progress, Cass!! I saw your tiles choices, nice colours! You're more grey brown sort of colors right? Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 76Dec 13, 2011 9:30 pm willcres Great progress, Cass!! I saw your tiles choices, nice colours! You're more grey brown sort of colors right? Yes, we are brown, chocolate, more brown, latte, cream, offwhite, brown and more brown... Wait to you see the bricks - Austral Symmetry Earth - so Brown Jasper Gutter/Fascia Kitchen - Nocturne Oak lots of browns and warm colours LOL Just think chocolate cake mixed with a good latte LOL Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 77Dec 14, 2011 5:09 pm ha..ha...I love austral Symmetry Earth, I was going to choose that, but hubby disagree, he's sort of bright color person... Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 78Dec 14, 2011 7:22 pm Symmetry Earth was our first choice with a cost to upgrade of 4.5K which I thought was reasonable for the size of house etc. That is one thing hubby and i agreed on straight away. What bricks have you picked for your home? Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Windows and plumbing installed 79Dec 14, 2011 10:14 pm We chose Boral bricks, called Grays Point. Drove to Penrith like 1.5hrs to see a new house built with this new bricks. It was worth it... We both love it straightaway... Re: Wisdom Majestic 35 - Brick laying has commenced 80Dec 22, 2011 7:44 pm Well, another step, brick laying started on Tuesday, just as the SS had said, so far our SS has managed to plan and deliver when he said. I think that is pretty good considering the shocking amount of rain and bad weather. We upgraded to Austral Symmetry Earth and so far they look great! A fellow Glenmore Ridger took the pics for me because I am unable to get there this week - we owe you one Matt! http://wisdommajestic35onourland.blogspot.com/2011/12/bricks.html Hi, guys!
