Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 66Oct 27, 2010 4:43 pm Wow! Progress! I think your benchtop looks like it could be the stainless look. Now that we are looking for our main tiles and carpet I'm having thoughts about going and changing my colours!!! But I must say the oven/microwave/pot drawer looks a bit... hmmm... joins seem very obvious, not what I'm hoping for IYKWIM. Did you get the standard size oven? I've got plaster starting any day now. Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 67Oct 27, 2010 5:11 pm I really don't know what the top is going to be. I remember that we had to change few times as whatever we decided on came up as not available at all or only for the top or only for the doors. At the end I was so fed up I didn't care anymore. I still have about 60 samples in my drawer. We just went back with my son as he haven't seen it and they forgot to lock the doors but I forgot the camera. Hopefully it will be still open later so I can take the real pics from inside. We have bathtub and the spa in and all the shelving inlaundry, WIL and WIR I'm not sure about those joints - they really look **** on the pictures but nothing caught my attention when I went inside. I will check later how it looks up close. My yellow/blue cabinet in kids bathroom looks completely wild I got standard oven as I'm not really a cooking/baking person and our microwave does have it as well. contract 10/11 prestart 04/10 slab 06/10 bricks 07/10 roof 09/10 plaster 10/10 Ceiling 10/10 LOCKUP 10/10 tiling wet areas 11/10 garage floor 11/10 PCI 12.01.11 handover 11.02.11 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=39361&hilit=malvern+springs We are in !!! I didn't even notice the joins in the kitchen cupboards, but im not big on attention to detail so could just be me Kiddies bathroom is certainly eye catching and different - to be 100% honest i wouldnt choose it , but i dont have kids and i dont plan on living in my house for long so mine is more about re sale - I think the kids would love it! What colour are the floor tiles going to be? Did you ended up finding out about your eves? Have you been given an approx date it will all be finished yet? Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 71Oct 28, 2010 12:31 pm Looks like a real house now. I think I'm going to have to get overheads next to our rangehood after we move in - also want to get some laundry cupboards but need to see a good setup. So whats the next thing to happen? Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 72Oct 28, 2010 12:46 pm Thanks guys - kitchen is really huge - I don't really know why On the plans it was looking small It all starts looking bigger then expected. I know not many people would choose those colors for the bathroom but first I'm nuts, second - kids should enjoy it - all the tiling will be same color as the bench + top tiles white with little blue pattern at the top edge - I did toilets and laundry in this blue too. I think now they going to start tiling the wet areas - then electrician should start working I went personally to LWP yesterday as they didn't call back and they promised to go - check and call today - not holding my breath Unfortunately I noticed that they already put those stupid eves vents Zarli sorry for no update - I was just so busy in the last few days - I will try to go there tomorrow before work and let you know what's happening. contract 10/11 prestart 04/10 slab 06/10 bricks 07/10 roof 09/10 plaster 10/10 Ceiling 10/10 LOCKUP 10/10 tiling wet areas 11/10 garage floor 11/10 PCI 12.01.11 handover 11.02.11 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=39361&hilit=malvern+springs We are in !!! Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 74Oct 28, 2010 1:47 pm I think your bank must have paid them - otherwise they wouldn't bring the bricks as the first payment is due on slab. Of Course your kitchen will be perfect - I wish I made it a big smaller - you can have a party between the wall cabinets and island bench. Well as I said few times before I have no imagination whatsoever. My kids were so ahh and ohh all over the place when we sneaked in. Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - getting there with SPH 75Oct 31, 2010 5:06 pm agabob my hubby says they probably spraying the ceilings when you have your inspection make sure you look up at the ceilings throughout thr house. we built our first house about 5yrs ago and it wasnt until we moved in and sleeping in the back room before we had blinds in the master bedroom that the paint job on the ceiling was terrible.. blobs of paint all over the place. the little things you learn along the way... there is sooo many things you dont even look out for as you are blinded with the joy of getting the key to your home.
