You are lucky to be able to have a display to go through. I remember when we built our first house, I was at the display houses every weekend (and they didn't even have our design built there). Actually, in all 3 houses we have built, we have never walked through the design. Also, it looks like we will be building around the same time too

We went through 1 of the 3 houses that we build previously. 2 of them were other peoples houses in an early state of being built, so mostly we picked off the plan.

Hi Barb,
I haven't had what I would call anything much to report as yet. We did our 1st lot of variations from the contract last week and once they come back priced etc, we should be on our way. As far as we know the contract should be back in the next 2-3 weeks and it should be all go from there. Hope so anyway. I do keep up with everyones threads, just don't post a lot.

At long last we have an update. ::celeb::

We now have our contract finalised. We have also done our last lot of variations/electricals and they have come back ok too. Electricals were 4.6k. Better than I thought they would be, because we added lots of data/tv/powerpoints. Took the contract to the bank this afternoon so they can do their final valuation and give us some money for a while. Hopefully they will start soon.

We used the Umbertone on our render, it is a gorgeous colour. Can't wait to see your place at this stage

Hubby liked it first but I have grown to like it too. Different to most others in our estate. There are a couple from Orbit with sloped roof but not quite the same. I have been going through the final drawings this afternoon. Found a couple of things to query but not too much wrong. Nearly all systems go.
You will be about to start on your next house by the time we get in just after new year. ::wink::

Went past our block today and lo and behold we have a tap. So we must be on the homeward stretch. It's a long stretch I know but it is a start.

Oh Kaytee I love your facade I would have loved to have that but it wasn't an option with my builder.

Congrat's on the tap, very exciting. My tap went in on 5th Aug and my slab is due to be poured on Wed of next week so if my time line is anything to go by you're really really close now.
