Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 65Mar 09, 2009 12:47 pm Thanks Ryan. This week Roof is scheduled. All the blue metal stuff is ready to go. Colourbond has not been delevered yet. Then electricial towards the end of the week. Bricks have not yet arrived. Rain already in brissie. Might get some delay.
Had some issues with out FHOGB. Is yet to arrive/or been taken off our first progress payment and I think our broker has yet again told us the wrong info!!! Not happy Jan. They have a bit of explaining to do Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 66Mar 09, 2009 1:15 pm How exciting Megzy !! Shame about the rain though, I was thinking the same thing that we will prob be delayed a bit too with this cyclone.
I hope you get everything sorted with your broker ! Must be a bit stressful, god I hate it when people give you the wrong information ! Hope it all gets fixed up soon ! Oh, and the Amari Oak too of course, we have that in our Laundry !! Can't wait to see all your colours and everything come together !! Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 68Mar 09, 2009 1:29 pm Yes I cannot wait for the Butler Pantry Crissy. We could have added a sink here too but instead went against it. Just another thing I would have to clean. But just love it that we can walk from our garage hallway to the pantry and into the kitchen. Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 69Mar 09, 2009 1:32 pm That is so exciting !!
I love to cook and spend alot of time in the kitchen - but even having a normal walk-in-pantry is going to be a luxury for me !! In our home now, we have such a tiny pantry, and I even had to go to Super A-Mart and buy a double door pantry to do us until we move !! But even with WIP I can fit all my elec. appliances etc, so I can't wait !! I've decided I am going to have a Tupperware party and do my pantry all nice & organised for once!! Good Idea with the sink - just think - more bench space !!! Building in Brisbane SW Suburbs Started on site with plumbing on 30/3 - Lock up 2/5 - 15/6 Recd Fixing Invoice - 18/6 Painter to start ! Can't wait to see all your colours and everything come together !! ha ha us too. Its very scary not knowing what it will all look like. Few more months and we will find out. ARGH Cant wait. Damn this rain right now. I thought it was supposed to be showers only. Wouldnt want anyone on my roof working on it in the rain. So risky. I reakon they would stop though. Well for us still living at home, a Butler Pantry will be one of the luxuries. I too also love to cook. I just have to keep buying more things to fill it all up. Gotta love tupperware. I will have to have one of those parties too soon. I only have a few items so far Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 71Mar 09, 2009 2:38 pm Crissy82 How exciting Megzy !! Thanks Crissy! us too Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 72Mar 09, 2009 3:17 pm Its not raining where I am. Hasn't all day. I work at Wacol. Not sure about Moggill though. Where do you work ?
I have heaps of Tupperware, I got heaps from a party I had end of 07, I made lots of sales so I got a fair bit of stuff for free. I ended up going to 3 parties in 3months (one being mine of course). Always works out that way, when your friends book parties from your party, you have to go of course. And I booked my party from my friends' party so she would get more stuff. Now, i've gone to my besties party in January, another friend booked one from hers, and another friend booked the 3rd from the 2nd !! Hopefully that will be it until I have mine!! (so thats 1 in Jan, 1 in Feb, 1 in March). At least they are bringing out new stuff in March to make things a bit more exciting for us!! lol I want to buy the Pantry Kit, so everything is nice and neat !!! And I hope to keep it that way too now that I will have more room ! I had a look at our plans, I couldn't fit one in anyway maybe next time! Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 73Mar 10, 2009 9:38 am Im just outside the CBD. Good news that you didnt have much rain near you yesterday. Maybe there is still a chance we will have a roof this week after all.
I also went to a few tupperware parties last year. I signed up for one but never found could organise a weekend where all could come so I just never called them back. They are so much fun but can turn out to be a very expensive few hrs. I also want a Pantry Kit. Hope your friends spend enough so you can get something for free Good luck for your SS meeting soon Crissy! Hope it all goes well Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 74Mar 10, 2009 9:53 am My last party I sold about $1800 worth of stuff, so I got the Picnic set for free !! I was so stoked with that!!
I didn't get a chance to drive out to your block on the weekend as we were held up By the time I get out there your house will probably be half finished !! How great if a roof does go up this week !!! Bet you can't wait to get out there ! Do you know anyone who lives on the street or nearby who can give you updates ?? Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 76Mar 10, 2009 10:14 am Yay the Picnic Set. Gotta love free stuff
Yes we know our neighbours but dont wanna ask them to keep updating us. Our SS should be doing that (DIG). Prob head out there on Wed arvo. Garage - Its about 2 1/2 car not quite the 3 car I think. We had to increase it to have the rear garage door. A must for my partner. One day we will have a big shed at the back. Gotta wait for our developers to move on before we do that. They have not approved the idea Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 77Mar 10, 2009 10:29 am That is so awesome !! Wish we could have fitted a larger garage, we would have loved a triple garage, but no way it was going to fit !
Bet you can't wait til tomorrow afternoon !!! Hope the rain passes quickly and doesn't hang around for too long so we can all get on with our building !! Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 78Mar 10, 2009 4:34 pm Only a few days really, we had some pegs, foundations and plumbing pretty much done around the same time.
Hopefully they are digging some trenches when you are out there for your SS meeting. Or even before hand Re: Megzy New Home - Update 8.1.10 79Mar 10, 2009 5:12 pm Wow only a few days hey !!
Must be weird though - everything at the beginning goes up so quickly, within weeks - and then its months and months of inside stuff and finishing ! Its amazing to think that soon we will have a frame, then roof & bricks, then it will feel like ages before we can get in !! lol Building in Brisbane SW Suburbs Started on site with plumbing on 30/3 - Lock up 2/5 - 15/6 Recd Fixing Invoice - 18/6 Painter to start !
