Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5883Nov 09, 2014 8:31 pm Unfortunately when this New Brighton Housing estate goes ahead it will lead to residents driving through Georges Fair estate to get to their homes. The traffic already banks up to almost Conlon St every afternoon and New Brighton residence are not going to wait in traffic to turn left at the roundabout at Christianson St. They will drive through Georges Fair....not looking forward to even more traffic. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5884Nov 10, 2014 11:03 am Not to mention the traffic also going the other way in the mornings. Some days the cars turning right from Brickmakers to Newbridge Rd, just banks up and causes cars back to Travers St. It's just going to get much worse. This is meant to be an exciting n time for myself and my wife. Unfortunately the news of a recycle plant being built 250m from our land is hard to swallow. Today I spoke to the owner of the company building the Marina which has been approved (Ernest). He tells me the coward who is planning to build the recycle plant has submitted documents to court to appeal the decision for the marina. This means now instead of Ernest starting construction immediately he isn't allowed to start until the appeal has been heard which will take a minimum of 6 months. We need to get together and stop this guy. That's really bad news for the whole GF residents, we are still waiting the ASSESSMENT RESULT form NSW PLANNING, and hope the good news, no one want the recyle plant can go ahead anymore. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5889Nov 19, 2014 10:01 am BillMac Uniquesyd-gf Anyone know what happend with the golf course?are they moving?seems mirvac bought the land and would have project like mornington estate(holsworthy) There is going to be about 400 lots on the western end of the existing golf course. The course is being redesigned with 7 holes being built on the southern side of the M5. http://brightonlakes.mirvac.com/ Hey BillMac Really bummed out about the development and we found out when the sign was going up. Apparently development proposal was submitted to council in 2008 so way before our time. Georges Fair will turn into drive thru to residents trying to get to Brighton Lakes development. It is already bad enough with drivers speeding down and up Brickmakers drive. I am not sure if there is anything we can do about that? Any thoughts guys? I saw development plans for the Golf course and new restaurants, bars and function rooms look amazing but 400 new homes is going to put a huge impact on Georges Fair and on our roads. And....what is going on with Marina development????? The development will provide infrastructure and facilities that will only improve the area, check it out. Plans for pool, Tennis court, kid play area and BBQ facilities have been submitted to council. I am all for new developments in the area and I do agree with you that new facilities like restaurants, bars, pool, kids playground etc will benefit residents of Georges Fair and Moorebank, it will be great to have access to those new facilities. I am looking forward to it BUT what I am not looking forward to is ....400+ cars driving through our streets to access Brighton Lakes. New development (Brighton Lakes) will not have new access points purposely built to service the area. If you look at the plans and proposals which have been approved by the council- two main access points to Brighton Lakes are Brickmakers Drive and Christiansen Road. Already, roundabout at Brickmakers Drive and Christiansen Road gets packed in the morning and afternoons what will it be like when you cramp additional 400 homes in the area? I can reassure you now that no additional carparks will be built at Holsworthy train station to accommodate population growth and infrastructure will remain the same for many many years to come. Answering your question...what makes me more important.....Georges Fair had own access points built/developed by Investa.....well Brighton Lakes....different story.....Georges Fair roads will be used to access new development Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5893Nov 24, 2014 11:08 am kesrob To the person who owns a large dog around the Maddecks, Speare St area, down past Central Park - it would be great if you stop the thing barking relentlessly for two or so hours EVERY single night from around 2am. Ramesh...I could be wrong but in other "Estates" that I have seen with purpose built facilities such as pools and tennis courts those facilities are for the use of the residents only. They are generally locked up and the residents have keys. I guess we will have to wait and see. Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5898Dec 02, 2014 6:46 am Hi Guys, We are in process of securing a lot in Gorges Fair but speculations of upcoming recycling plant is quite scary. Information provided on Gorges fair website doesn't reveal much. Can someone advise what is real deal behind this project. Thanks Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5899Dec 30, 2014 12:27 pm Anyone in need of fill for around their yard/home? Our pool (Honeymyrtle Street) will be excavated on 7th January 2015 and we'll have over 30 Tonne of soil (some shale, clay etc like everyone here in GF!) to get rid of that day. It will be in a truck so easy access will be necessary. Please PM me if you, or anyone you know could take it on the 7th January.
