Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5825Aug 29, 2014 1:16 pm What do you guys think of having 40k/h signs within GF along with main avenues. Regardless speeders follow the sign or not I think it will be quieter and safer generally. Cuz at the moment the limit is 50 (?)and some may drive 60. I think it is rubbish, you want 40kph because the limit now is 50kph but people always do 10kph over is your logic. So really if you do the maths your happy with 50kph if people keep to the limit. Doesn't matter what is the posted speed there will always be those in a hurry & they normally do more than 10kph over. My builder submitted a landscape plan for us. It identified the driveway. We now want to extend a concrete path from the driveway to the front door and then around to the opposite side of the house (about an extra 70m of concrete on a 604m block). Do you think council will be OK with this or should we just put the driveway in and do the rest after we get our occupancy certificate? Thanks in advance. Houda ---- Built the Lincoln 35 at Georges Fair Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5838Sep 05, 2014 5:29 pm Its just a hassle to change name. If someone asks where abouts do you live and you say "Nuwarra Waters", they say "oh yeah, where's that?".........You say "Moorebank". I feel for the next few years we will have to explain where we live. Its been bad enough explaining my address as it was in a new estate. We've been here for 3 years. For the first 2 we weren't on any maps so everyone including trades would (and some still do) get lost. Now we will have to explain the whole name change. What a pain. Just leave it, I think. People ask me where I live and I say Moorebank they say where's that and I say Liverpool!! We need to change the name of our suburb to disassociate ourselves from the "Moorebank Intermodel" which will not enhance our property values. Nuwarra has, IMO, a sound that could be associated with an exclusive suburb. Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement.
