Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 581May 02, 2015 7:29 pm Still no word when any of these repairs are happening. Trades are supposed to call us and they just aren't calling. It's getting extremely frustrating. We were told that our list would be rectified within 7 days Rolf lodgement to them in writing. It's been over two weeks! Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 582May 03, 2015 8:35 pm So what kind of repair work is still due? From your few previous posts, I had this feeling that Henley was rectifying issue for you particularly in kitchen. These would be handy to know as we are now entering in same stage in next couple of days. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 583May 04, 2015 8:54 am From what I've heard from previous experience's - Henley delays repairs once you've moved in. So I've been advised by a few other friends who built with Henley to delay the move in and get everything fixed before the final payment don't know how that will work out yet !! Another advice I got was to drop them regular emails and tell them that if they're unable to fix your issues you will need to move to a rental (or whatever) and it will incur these many $$$$ Might make these lazy buggers to do their job - worth trying ! Still have windows that need repairing and A&L have dropped the ball there. Plumber still to repair water pressure issues and our bath that doesn't drain properly. Yarra valley water to fix restrictor on water meter as its broken and may be contributing to our terrible water pressure. Crystal to assess and rectify/replace ensuite shower screen, one panel is upside down and they are both bowed so hit when you close them. Insulation in roof to be fixed. Heater needs fixing as its not pumping equal in all rooms. Carpet still to be replaced where mould is, carpet call not sure if they have any of the same batch left so may be a slight colour difference meaning whole room will need replacing. Electrician still needs to replace standard coax points with F-Type connections. Henley forgot to order my data hub so they need to do that and sparky to install correctly. Ummmmm I'm sure there is more than that. All the maintenance stuff has been fixed, now it's the stuff that external companies need to do that is slow. Crystal has been worst for this as they haven't even called and they initially said they spoke to us then when called out on it said they didn't have our number to call lol. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 585May 04, 2015 5:25 pm That seems like 2-3 months work routine post handover Henley has to lift its collaboration between QA and site foreman. I can see a large hole between QA and actual rectifications. Can imagine how frustrating it would be for you mate. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 586May 04, 2015 5:29 pm Arrrrhhhhh... That sounds like a big list hitman.. Good luck and hopefully they will settle it all in time for you..keep us posted on how you go ! Trust me that holding back money technique isn't going to work. Tradies don't turn up at site, site foreman works like guest appearance and QA are holy men. You can hold your cheque and nothing much going to happen on your site. No one gives a crap if your house would be built in 4, 6, or 10 months. They would still be safe by those high number of days written in your contract. It's better to keep them in table and get your house ready as soon as you can. Putting unnecessary pressure not going to help. Fly screens replaced - they are better but still pretty average, bonus they let us keep the old ones so I'll redo them in fibreglass and see if they are still as bad. Still waiting on everything else and it's beyond annoying! Oh also our kitchen cupboards were replaced again and the ones delivered are damaged!!! This is now our 3rd set of doors and none have been right! We are fighting for a different product now and may even consider VCAT. If this were the real world and we went to the cabinet maker ourselves rather than through a builder, and we payed for this product, they would be giving our money back! Not happy at all about this. Second lot were damaged in places, now this lot also have chunks out of the finish, scratches and all of them the whole time have had a horrible brown line around the edging which display didn't have. Also the edge panels to the cabinet on one side are correct and are crystal gloss but the other side they are satin finish!! Also when cabinet maker changed out the doors this time, they forgot to put on 2 of our soft closers Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 592May 10, 2015 7:09 pm Ahhhhh...
