wow that's a bit like me...we can see pretty much from the fence of what we're up to tho we aren't as far advanced as you, we have just had the roof tiles installed (last wed) but they ran out so haven't been back to finish the last dozen tiles or so. We did have our facade rendered yesterday well started anyway, I went to take a look to see if they were there this morning but we've been abandoned . Our SS as wonderful as he is, doesn't always ring us with an update purely because we always seem to catch him at the house and he tells us whats happening next. Sometimes he gets it right but sometimes he's way off (I think he gets us confused with the neighbours up the road), none the less, he's a legend and always easy to talk to. So don't be worried if you think your SS will get upset with you if you want to know where your build is up to. It's his job to keep you up to date and inform you of what's happening every week, whether it's in person or just a text. When was your last walk through? if it was a while ago, then you maybe due for another one soon perhaps.
Hope your build otherwise is going well
Michelle
Hi Michelle!
Its very disappointing when you go to have a look to see what is done and nothing has been done, although that doesn't happen very often they move very fast!
we went and had a walk through Monday 2nd Sep to have a look at the tiles to make sure they are correct and we have only had one before that when we had to check electrical.
our site supervisor is really nice but I think I'm just impatient and just want a date and I understand he cant give me one, but seems to get annoyed when I ask.
Oh darl, I think they get annoyed because deep down they really want to give you the answer you hope to hear, but in reality if they did that and it doesn't turn out, then you would only get disappointed and upset. So just stay hopeful that you'll have a date soon and hopefully the finish will be earlier than expected.
The worse thing about not seeing anyone on our build is my own fault....if only I didn't go everyday (it's only up the road from where we are) and only went say once a week, that way I could get excited seeing something I never expected, like the renderers starting yesterday. But I can't help myself, I just have to watch our baby grow..lol and document every little step...see, it truly is like watching a real baby grow and just as exciting, mmmm now if only walls could talk hey?
