He just called though and there was no option of me changing from snowy mountain as that was already on order!! Bugger!! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine and if it's not hubby is happy to repaint lol I did ask about the yellowing though and he said any colour that is white white will definitely yellow in a matter of months! He said we will be safe though so yay!! Also changed our media room to light leather and added two feature walls to the master! I'm a happy little vegemite again Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 463May 09, 2016 8:48 am Lexie85 So yay, we have a painter!!! I'm a happy little vegemite again Hi Lexie, Do you mind me asking how much he charged per feature wall? I am going to my house today hoping to catch the painter and im going to ask if he does cashies. Just no idea what is a good price for a feature wall! Thanks Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 464May 09, 2016 8:53 am Hey first build! He said he would normally charge $100 per wall but because I was using the same colour for both walls and they are side by side he's charging us $150, plus an extra $150 to change our media room colour. How exciting that your painting is starting too!! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 465May 09, 2016 9:04 am That's awesome I was going to do feature walls after hand over but for that price I would just get the painter to do them. Looking forward to seeing pics of snowy mountain So with the painting yellowing, Will snowy mountain not do it because it is not a perfect white? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 468May 09, 2016 9:19 am Ryalls he said that because we are much more an off white than a white white we should be safe. But he said lexicons are major yellow culprits! He said the amount of jobs he has had problems with because of it is crazy, especially the door trims and wardrobes! So beware! As for the feature walls, he normally charges $100 each but he is getting the paint and doing it! Very happy with that! How exciting that your painting is starting too!! That's really good. I'm more then happy with $100. We would like a dark grey for the theatre room and a light grey for the main bedroom. Hopefully he is happy to do them! They started the painting on Friday, my mum popped around and said they had just done the 1st coat and she likes the colour I hope they are there today. Happy painting Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 470May 09, 2016 9:32 am Lexie85 Ryalls he said that because we are much more an off white than a white white we should be safe. All I wanted was vivid white I wonder if I can owner supply it instead so it's not thinned down and will actually cover the walls Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 471May 09, 2016 10:00 am Lexie85 Ryalls he said that because we are much more an off white than a white white we should be safe. Thanks its good to know I was going to ask to change to a white white on my skirts and door but definitely wont be now! _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 472May 09, 2016 1:10 pm Lexie85 Hey first build! I will have to contact the painter after handover. Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 473May 09, 2016 1:27 pm Firstbuild92 Lexie85 Hey first build! Sorry first build! Maybe it's dependant on SS as well? I said it at the very beginning of our build to our SS so maybe that's why, not sure! Painter had no issues at all with it so maybe if you go to site when you know they are there you could do it? Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 475May 09, 2016 2:00 pm Hey Lexie, don't forget to post pictures if you can, because you'll be off on that holiday soon, won't you. Have a great time! No all good. Its not a huge deal! I'll still chat to the painter to see what he says Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 477May 09, 2016 2:35 pm Oh my gosh! So hubby has just spoken to SS and he's committed to a PCI date!! 16-June!! Still heaps to do so seems realistic!! Contract end date is 1-July so they will almost be spot on! Slightly nervous as our current lease ends on 16-June but as I said to hubby, we will just give notice on that day and will have to gauge the number of weeks we give!! Yep oldies we are off to Vietnam on Friday so planning to visit on Thursday before our trip as we aren't back till 22nd then I go straight to Adelaide till 25th for work!! So the time between now and PCI is going to fly by!!! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 478May 09, 2016 4:27 pm Great news re painting and even better news on PCI!! I'm so excited for you! That's so close now! It's gonna fly... Have you had any mistakes or errors or anything the whole build?? Your run has been amazing! C U S T O M. C O R A L. Also they hadn't wired enough data points so had to come back and fix that Oh the other thing I've noticed is that we have no whirly bird! It's not concerning me as I'm hoping it will be corrected before the end of the build but yeah that's basically it! Really we can't complain at all, it's gone so well and Coral really have been great since the build started. Our SS has let us meet all the trades and although doesn't communicate much,he keeps us updated on the important things which is all we really were after. Countdown is now on!!! 38 days to go!! Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7923 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15142 Hi so sorry for the late reply. I already contacted them and they wouldn't tell me instead they tried to get me to talk to one of their home coordinators and I'm not… 2 6513 |
