You got drafted... Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 443Sep 14, 2017 1:02 pm yay! stone pics...It's a litnle more swirly than the pieces I saw, and the brown is a little darker, but I really like it! It picks up the brass and grey tones nicely.. In photos, it looks slightly yellower against the white, than it does in real life - mainly because of the plastic Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 444Sep 14, 2017 1:03 pm Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 446Sep 14, 2017 1:07 pm Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 447Sep 14, 2017 1:12 pm Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 450Sep 14, 2017 1:24 pm To all who recieved lemons today - your bravery and sacrifice will be remembered! ( I know it was a lot!) My tree still has more... making pies for the workers to take down to the build tomorrow - met the painter, nice man, he's been in hospital with a hernia, bless him. By the way, I don't spray (or feed, or water!), so there may be a little moth web, or caterpiller detritus hanging around on the fruit. Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 452Sep 14, 2017 1:26 pm Thanks all... I'm a bit relieved - you guys all know how it is when you choose from pics and a tiny sample, and then it's all different when it's embiggened... Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 453Sep 14, 2017 1:27 pm I wish I could post you some aloenyx! Lemons, that is...
Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 454Sep 14, 2017 1:28 pm Yup. Totally know the feeling, but your kitchen is amazing, love all the features and colours!! Can't wait to see it fully finished. Haha, that's okay my uncle is always passing them out to the family XD He has a massive tree. Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 455Sep 14, 2017 1:36 pm That's the weird thing - my tree's pretty small cuz we cut it, and it's about 8 yrs oldish - I get crates full! And I do nothing except prune. And it never goes dormant - it has ripe fruit, new fruit, and flowers on it now, and it does for a lot of the year - it's a mutant, must be. It's a lisbon, so I get a heap of thorns, but I love it. Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 456Sep 14, 2017 1:43 pm That stone is GORGEOUS!!! Did you have to pay extra/much for the door types (the beautiful shaker style)? Cause I do not recall being asked about it and would have loved to do the same (not a huge issue though!). Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 457Sep 14, 2017 2:04 pm JM1911A1 That stone is GORGEOUS!!! Did you have to pay extra/much for the door types (the beautiful shaker style)? Cause I do not recall being asked about it and would have loved to do the same (not a huge issue though!). Aaahhhh! Actually I can't tell you - we had a heap of upgrades with the kitchen people, and they just lumped it all together under one (ginormous!) figure, and we said yes... They did our bathroom fit-outs as well, so it just all got lumped in - sorry! We paid a ton for the 2pak paint - I know that the shaker style can limit you on laminates - some of the textured and wood grain ripple ones won't conform to the shape. We also paid a lot for the drawers on both sides of the island - the allowance was for only one side of the island, and one pot drawer set (or was it two?) The entire kitchen is drawers, so you can imagine, I could have probably bought a small car from our upgrades amount. I know I didn't like the standard they had on offer - nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't me. Sorry I can't break it down for you. We took like a grand total of 5 minutes picking out stuff in our kitchen section (my god it just went so quick, we somehow got everything chosen within 2 hours for the whole house with all the add ins we'd gone with!) that I don't think we spoke about the door styles once. But it's not a big deal (>5 years down the track might look at switching over if theres enough wear and tear! Hehehe). Yours looks AMAZING and so many drawers is a great choice. We switched over four of our cupboards for drawers. Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 459Sep 14, 2017 3:09 pm Those cupboards look amazing! The benchtop makes the kitchen look seamless - it all just works I'm not sure whether I should say that you must be so proud or that you must be so relieved! But it looks fantastic Re: New Building Seaford Meadows SA 460Sep 14, 2017 5:37 pm bubbles_family Those cupboards look amazing! Relieved! I'm just really happy to finally get the kitchen I always wanted, but never expected to have. I'm sooo lucky. Thanks to my hubby who worked for it all. I always wanted a proper kitchen full of drawers and the big clear prep space - I was wanting to lie down on the island when I was there today - you really could do an operation on it. I'll finally be able to do proper mis en place, when I cook. Cake decorating will be so much more fun with enough bluddy space! Can't wait until hubby's family arrive - I'll cook up a storm! I don't like cooking, but so much better when there's people to do it for en masse.
