Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 442Feb 27, 2015 3:00 am Hi All, I'm yet another of the forgotten freelife houses I signed up in.... are you ready for it... Mid 2012!! Believe it or not (ha ha you've got to by now right?!) there are also 10 others that I know of that signed up around this time that don't have their houses yet either! The progress of work completed ranges from plate height to roof cover, and you guessed it - most haven't been touched for about 6 months... a common theme - a massive worry! Not to mention their stuff ups & attitude. There's so much I could say but trying to avoid being removed from the forum on my first post :/ Words can not describe the disappointment I feel on a daily basis as my life and plans I had for the future have been put on hold for nearly 3 years now. Some plans as you could imagine have just been completely ruined I'm sure you can all relate and just wanted to let others know (that may be thinking of signing up) what they are in for. I'm soooooo over it. It's time for action - I'll be in touch! Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 443Feb 27, 2015 7:49 pm It's actually nice to hear that there are other people that got sucked in by Freelife Homes. Like many of you our slab went down in September 2014 slab and walls went up really quickly which kept us hopefully then the waiting began... 4 weeks till the roof went on and electrics were done, now we've waited almost 3 months for the plumb tubes to be done. We've been told they have a plumber shortage (they seem to be the only company with this shortage) I even asked if a licensed plumber friend of ours could do the work and we were told no!! We would like to take it further and make a complaint with the building commission however, so we have a leg to stand while we are still in contract? Our 220 days is up early July. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 446Mar 03, 2015 3:47 pm If there are people that are building in Brookleigh could you please private message me I would like to check up on some progress etc... Today is not a good day after the rude phone call from the freelife office I received. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 448Mar 04, 2015 12:24 pm ThemasterD Out of interest, who is building out in ellenbrook/annies landing? I have a freelife home as a neighbour. We are both at the same stage. Hi ThemasterD I am building in Annies Landing - well we actually haven't started yet still waiting on titles. What stage are you? I can't seem to find any annies landing neighbours on here viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75837 Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 449Mar 04, 2015 11:30 pm Hey everyone, Well im T-Minus 15 working days until my contract is at its end. lets see how long it takes to actually get built. Im guessing keys by mid 2016. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 454Mar 05, 2015 6:41 pm Gotta laugh when people who are building with other builder tell their horror stories... Which sounds like paradise to us Freelifers. Unfortunately I think we have come by the worst of the worst! The good news potentially being that any other stress we will experience in our lives will seem nothing! Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 455Mar 05, 2015 6:45 pm hahaha mid 2016.... I feel that as well. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 456Mar 05, 2015 6:47 pm So embarrassing when people ask me "so is your house done yet" Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 458Mar 05, 2015 9:32 pm I'd say to anyone thinking or hoping freelife are magically going to fix everything, and everyone's house actually gets built ever, to think again.. They are beyond just being a useless inefficient builder, even just with the amount of homes mentioned on this forum that are over contract, or the ridiculous delays, it shows serious issues with the company, and who knows how many others there are that havent been on here?? As most of you know, the building commission is aware of them, and the only way something will change, Is to speak up. The more the better, regardless of what stage of your contract you are at, if you have a complaint just say SOMETHING. If they don't know how big this is, then they have no reason to take things further, because as far as they are concerned it could just be a few disgruntled home owners. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 459Mar 05, 2015 10:03 pm Does anybody know what the options are for pulling out of building with freelife? We've had our plans drawn up, done our prestart but haven't paid for the variations yet. So far no building work has been started and all we've paid freelife is $1500. Also my name is spelt wrong on all of the paperwork we've signed so far. I've brought it to there attention several times but they've never bothered to change it! You'd probably just lose your deposit, which I'm guessing is the $1500 you're talking about. If I was in your position, I'd definitely get out now. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 26120 I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 16041 Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently. We have signed mid range built contract but identified that a lot of things are not included.… 0 2020 |
