Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4341Feb 24, 2017 3:20 pm I'm back after a long hiatus from the forums. We've had some unresolved issues with the local council not giving a permit to close the road so the plumbers can dig it up and connect our sewer line into the sewer main underneath it. The sewer line connection also necessitated in a huge variation cos our contract PS didn't cover the amount of work so I just haven't had the heart to post anything for a couple of months. Well... we had our final walk through today with our SS, the next step is to get a date to get the keys. Finally I can see all my family's dreams coming to reality. The house is nothing short of spectacular, the attention to detail was above expectations. I had Stephen Ryan come and look at the house a couple of weeks ago and by today there wasn't much left to mark with blue tape, still a few bits so the wow factor was really there. Landscapers and our new front fence, driveway, footpath, crossover - just love it. I've been wondering where you got to and was really hoping you hadn't come across unexpected delays. I know exactly what it's like to want to avoid the forums when things aren't going to plan! BUT, wow! Your house looks amazing!! Absolutely love the facade and all the landscape works! Looking forward to seeing pics of the inside once you get your keys!! Haha yes I loved yesterday's colour too but thought it would look super dark once we lost the natural light but now my problems are solved. I might use that "dark" version for feature walls as I've grown kind of fond of it hahaha So lesson learnt. Don't judge before the paint is even dry hahaha Any pics for us this week Msjovi???? Building Majestic 40 - wisdom homes Building with Wisdom Homes 4350Feb 24, 2017 5:03 pm Well it's been slow and steady at our place, but good to finally see some progress. We've had electrical rough in, top floor bricks cleaned and blue board and eaves installed. Next week the facade will be rendered and apparently painted too. How long does the render normally take to dry? I would've thought they'd need to wait a week before painting. I hope they're not rushing things to catch up! Anyway, I'm sailing out of Sydney harbour on a cruise as we speak so I will be switching off for a few days! Hope to have some progress pics next week. Such a shame that you've had some delays. But so happy you can see you and your family living in this home. I am starting to feel that way whenever we sneak into our place. I can't wait to have some kids and raise them in those house. Hubby was lucky enough to get in there today with SS and we should have PCI next fri. We've had some **** delays thanks to the gyprocker and a wall needing to get fixed but that has been fixed now. I'll definitely post some inside pics when we get the keys, too focused on walking around with the masking tape and the SS today looking for blemishes. Kirst10 I really thought you would've moved in by now as well I think that last 5% to the finish line takes the longest. Mrsllamas2016 the garage door is B&D Jatoba I think. Congrats!!! Also (even though I was commenting negatively earlier about WL costs), it would be great in being able to move in with all of the landscaping done so you can completely enjoy the new home from day one. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4360Feb 25, 2017 9:41 am Plan revisions done this morning. In and out in 30 minutes. Now the waiting game starts again. If they get all the revisions right I feel confident that will be it for our plans. Then they're going to push our contract through in tandem with our appointments because we waited so long for plans. Only minor changes, mainly window alignments and moving shower doors. I decided to remove the wall between the kitchen and butlers pantry so we can fit it out similar to the Ambassador at Oran Park and expanded the WIR slightly to accomodate IKEA pax units. Oh and I added square set ceilings for the ground floor as I removed a LIN1 door which covers half the cost Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
