They gave me peiring 90 tons but unfortunately they put 120 do u know how much they charge extra for that. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4207Apr 14, 2014 8:53 am I am in stage 4, on the same street in fact. Oh that is great news that they have started! Unfortunately they charge quite a lot per lineal metre over. It will specify the charge per lineal metre in your contract. I could look up mine, but I presume the costs would have gone up by now. I would put aside at least $99 for every lineal metre over. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4208Apr 14, 2014 9:23 am Welcome to the forum San man 255. Care to share what design you've chosen with Champion? Is this your first build? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4209Apr 14, 2014 10:02 am San man 255 Hi whytee r u in stage 4-5 ....? I have also decided to go with Champion(San Remo 255) as well in stage 6 and interested to know your experience with Champion. You must have read the great posts from WHYTEE and we all gained a lot from her experience. Our experience is not too bad uptil now as we have almost at the end of admin stage, but we have to add lot of things/upgrade to the standard to make it look like reasonably close to what you see at Display home. I assume you are also building San Remo 255. I was told by the sales guy at the Champion Homes that 90 meters should be enough for the size of house we have chosen. How come they came up with 120m for your home? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4210Apr 14, 2014 10:20 am Welcome to the Bunya family San man 255! As ajam said Whytee posted so many great tips and experiences which will answer most of ur question but feel free to ask any question or confusion you have. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4212Apr 15, 2014 9:13 am Thanx every 1 Ajam did u sign ur contract already.......? I'm building San remo 300. From the champion home experience every single thing u want make sure it should be in tender. I have really bad experience with CH. Specially that sale rep. Bill. Pering depends upon ur block of land and size of the house. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4213Apr 15, 2014 9:46 am San man 255 Thanx every 1 Ajam did u sign ur contract already.......? Pering depends upon ur block of land and size of the house. yes I have signed the contract and the reason was the design of the house, I could not find any comparable design with any other builder. You are absolutely right that everything you think you would need, should be in a tender document.I had my share of frustrations too and at few occasions during the admin process, I wanted to call it a quit but still hanging there, waiting for land registration. Hopefully more nasty surprises would be few and far between. Finger crossed! Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4214Apr 15, 2014 4:07 pm ajam San man 255 Hi whytee r u in stage 4-5 ....? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4219Apr 16, 2014 2:33 pm TOSCANO243 Hi I"m new here. Just got the stage 6 land on 11/04/14. Can anyone tell after exchanging land contract (30 days after) how many days or months we"ve to wait to get the land so that we can start constrution immediatly. Hi and welcome. You can start construction after your land has been registered. They have given different estimates on the time this will happen, but its almost always later than they say. Stage 6 is at best a few months away. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 4220Apr 16, 2014 3:20 pm Welcome to the forum Toscano243, newhouser is correct. Once your land is registered, construction can begin. However, council approval cannot occur until after your land has registered, nor can final, final DRP approval occur. To give you an indication of time - I waited over 6 monts from day of land sale until registration occurred on my land. My builder (CH) had everything "ready to go", in anticipation for land registering. Once land registered, it took nearly 3 months until construction actually started, we went through CDC approval not council which is a faster process usually. Hope the above answers your question. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you.
