Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 18: Flooring, Carpet....)

:O You're so lucky to have a dad to do your driveway, we are estimating about $3500 for ours to be done privately.

As for electrical, we are going to get clipsal to do bare minimum and get the sparky on site to do a whole bunch of stuff for cash and we supply the products. Things like powerpoints or lights in very hard to get places we are going to ask clipsal to do but other than that they are crazy over prices so we are trying to avoid giving them money if needed.

As for the bath, $1250 :O as if there would even be a cost to change it?! I would think it's less materials to use and is actually easier than surrounded with the only hard part being the changed plumbing for the tap.

I haven't started our build thread yet, going to place our $5000 deposit on land tomorrow and sign contracts and we already have a $2,000 holding deposit with coral. Once we get conditional approval as I'm trying not to get too excited in case we get knocked back but the broker we used is super confident we will get approved

I am sure it will all be fine! Do you mind if I ask what size land and how much your paying?

Just be careful with your loan, I double checked everything and we are now ending up paying an extra 7k towards our loan because the broker missed something with our split build and land loan

Our broker has been quite good so far and the loan is definitely construction, $300 for the first draw down and then free draw downs after that.

We went with Suncorp, who did you guys settle with?

We definitely fell in love with Riverstone! we paid $270,880 for 489sqm so we have a bit more yard for our two big dogs! Would of loved to go bigger but we will save that for the next house

We are going with CUA! $600 application fee but no annual fees, free redraws and 3.84% fixed for 2 years and interest free on the build for the first year which suits us so we know what our repayments are

Our broker was amazing until the end - we are a week away from final approval and going unconditional on our land.

That's amazing, nice size block! Only thing we worried about with RC was the weekly fee's :O. But the estate is beautiful and the added 24/7 security and maintenance makes it worth it

.

Damn, that's an awesome deal we are going in at 3.88% and interest only during the build. We had to go suncorp as we haven't been in our jobs for long at all as we just relocated from Sydney to the Gold coast (Best decision I've made in a while). Got any photos to share of your block, would love to see!
