Was pleased to find out when we got there that HGWA have added two new main floor area tiles to their standard collection which were waaaayyy more what we were after! Prestart should be in the next 3 weeks! Re: M & C's First Build with HGWA - Eglinton 44Jun 09, 2017 8:14 pm jenza20 Dayummm! That's way nicer than the other ones. If they were avail at my pre start I would've got those. Nice choices! Similar to mine They had those ones and a lighter cream one with the same pattern! Thank you! I have overhead cupboards in the kitchen as a standard inclusion, but we're defo going to put a bulkhead above the kitchen as the gap will annoy me and just fill with dust.... Not sure about our scullery as we don't have overhead cupboards there but instead we're just thinking of putting in floating shelves after handover Re: M & C's First Build with HGWA - Eglinton 56Jun 23, 2017 10:07 am m0llss I have overhead cupboards in the kitchen as a standard inclusion, but we're defo going to put a bulkhead above the kitchen as the gap will annoy me and just fill with dust.... Not sure about our scullery as we don't have overhead cupboards there but instead we're just thinking of putting in floating shelves after handover Oh that's a good inclusion!! A bulkhead is definitely worth it if you're gonna have overheads.. We're gonna be doing the same in our scullery! We have our fridge and pantry in our scullery as well so if I put overheads in there, I think it'd get too cramped.. I just don't know how it would look in my kitchen if I get overhead cupboards... If you really want them I say get them as you'll regret it after, it will cost a lot too! Although I don't think in the scullery as like you said it sounds cramped Re: M & C's First Build with HGWA - Eglinton 60Jun 23, 2017 2:05 pm Imightbedave I couldn't afford overheads but I now regret not making it happen! Follow my build here Depending how handy you are they aren't too hard to do yourself and you can pick some up for a relatively decent price at Ikea. That's what we were originally going to do but then the builder offered to throw them in as a bonus when we were signing up so saved us the hassle. I may or may not install a bulkhead myself one day... but probably not as the gap has never bothered me in houses I've rented with overheads (in fact I didn't even thing about it at pre-start) There's some none urgent items you can always do yourself after handover when the cash levels recover a bit and there's other things that are easier to get done at pre-start. Overheads were originally in our afters basket. We might end up putting in an overhead above the laundry sink after we move in at some point.
